Pastor Shirley has made several notable appearances including the televised Live from Disney World Night of Joy, the Gospel According to VH-1, a White House performance for George Bush, and a speech on the Evolution of Gospel Music to the US Treasury Department.

Shirley Caesar is one of my all-time favorite black gospel singers. She is truly the first lady of gospel. I can listen to this song over and over again and never get tired of it. Because when I'm tempted by the devil and his demons, I play this song Loud and Proud to Kick the Devil in the butt,and resist him in the Precious Name of Jesus . And when Shirley sings this song she doesn't spare the horses she lets it go.
