Summer Rain

Hurry til I don't get through
Here the guitar ring singing out in the cold
I'm feeling nasusa not knowing when to fold
So I've been treading, going along this road
And I've been rocking away
And I'm still feeling better than yesterday
Thinking of bad times, swirling around in my head
Slippin' down, let's forget everything I said
Well I've been knocking, I've been talking way too long
But now you broke me
Baby, tell me I'm wrong
And I've been rocking away
And I'm still feeling better than yesterday
Summer Rain, come again someday
And I've been rocking away
And I'm still feeling better than yesterday
Summer Rain, come again someday
The first verse of Short-e's song "Summer Rain" paints the picture of a person who is feeling overwhelmed and lost. They describe themselves as a "slacker" who is hurrying until they don't get through. The guitar ring singing out in the cold represents the person's attempt to find solace in music. They are feeling nauseous, not knowing when to fold, indicating that they are battling something unknown and are likely struggling with a difficult decision. However, despite these feelings of uncertainty, they are continuing to tread along the road, moving forward even when it is difficult.
The second verse delves deeper into the person's struggles. They are thinking of bad times that are swirling around in their head, and they are slipping down. They plead to forget everything they said and acknowledge that they have been talking and knocking for too long. They are now broken and ask if they are wrong. Again, the mention of "rocking away" indicates that music has been a consistent source of comfort throughout their pain.
Overall, "Summer Rain" is a song about perseverance and finding hope amidst difficult times. The singer is struggling with unknown hardships, but they are continuing to move forward, relying on music for comfort. The lyrics suggest a desire for a better tomorrow ("Summer Rain, come again someday"), and the final repetition of the chorus implies that despite their struggles, they are still feeling better than they were before.
