Borderline
Shout Lyrics

When bleeding hearts like never before, we'll even up the score.
Living life out on the wild side,
It's time it's known; we're in the danger zone, Is it too late, oh, to make a change?
Have we sealed the fate before a soul exchange?
Living, oh, you know we're living on the borderline,
Living, it's all taking, and no giving, See the warning sign.
Ain't telling lies, what's done is done,
And no, I don't know where it's at, you know it ain't my place,
One thing I know for sure backfire's in the face.
Living, oh, you know we're living on the borderline,
Living, all taking, and no giving,
See the warning sign,
Living, you gotta know we're living on the borderline,
Living the lies, See the warning sign.
Living, oh, you know we're living on the borderline,
Living, it's all taking, and no giving,
See the warning sign,
Living, you gotta know we're living on the borderline,
Living, it's all taking, and no giving,
See the warning sign.
The song "Borderline" by Shout is about living on the edge of danger and consequence. The lyrics describe a sense of living dangerously and explicitly state that they are living on the border between what is expected and what they want to do. The singer reflects on how bleeding hearts will even up the score, implying that the consequences of their actions will eventually catch up to them.
The second verse of the song suggests that the singer is reflecting on decisions made in the past and is hearing the cries of those whose lives have been affected by those decisions. They express a sense of regret and uncertainty about where they stand, but acknowledge that they are responsible for their actions.
Overall, the song serves as a warning against living recklessly and taking without giving. The lyrics suggest that living in the danger zone has consequences that will eventually catch up to us, and it's never too late to make a change.
