緑の交差点でパラシュート開けど
速すぎ間に合わずシニガミが横切った
大きな風になびくようだ all day holiday
all day holiday 帰り道は遠くて
ハシゴに手を伸ばして天窓の扉を
開けると青いづぎる パラシュート パラシュート パラシュート

諦めてハシゴで降りたら元の場所さ
大きな風になびくようだ all day holiday
all day holiday 帰り道は遠くて

Midori no kousaten de PARACHUTE hirakedo
Hayasugi mamiawazu shinigami ga yokukitta
Ookina kaze ni nabiku you da ALL DAY HOLIDAY
ALL DAY HOLIDAY kaerimichi ha tookute
Hashigo ni te wo nobashite tenmado no tobira wo
Akeru to aoi tsugiru PARACHUTE PARACHUTE PARACHUTE

Akiramete hashigo de oritara moto no bashou sa
Ookina kaze ni nabiku you da ALL DAY HOLIDAY
ALL DAY HOLIDAY kaerimichi ha tookute

Mayoi no kaji wa tore PARACHUTE PARACHUTE PARACHUTE
PARACHUTE PARACHUTE PARACHUTE
PARACHUTE PARACHUTE PARACHUTE

A parachute opened too soon at a plant-covered intersection
A demon made his crossing just in time
And fluttered in a gust of wind
All Day Holiday
All Day Holiday
The path back home is far away
Hands reach for a ladder and a too-blue skylight opens

If you give up on climbing the ladder,
Youâ ll get blown away by a big wind.
All Day Holiday
All Day Holiday
The path home is far away
Catch the flame of confusion! Parachute, Parachute, Parachute!

Hands reach for a ladder and a too-blue skylight opens
Parachute, Parachute, Parachute!
Whereâ s the best place to land?
The frothing voice becomes wind, too
Catch the flame of confusion!
Parachute, parachute, parachute!

Parachute, parachute, parachute!
Parachute, parachute, parachute!

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Shugo Tokumaru's song "Parachute" offer a vivid soundtrack of a surreal journey. The first verse begins with a parachute opening too soon at a green intersection, followed by a Shinigami (a spirit that leads people to the underworld in Japanese mythology) crossing the street just in time. The scene is set to the backdrop of a big wind making things flutter like an "All Day Holiday." The return journey is far and difficult, and the singer reaches out to open a blue skylight door to catch hold of a parachute. However, the voice becomes frothy like wind, and the flame of confusion is caught.

The song is a representation of life's uncertainties and the decision-making process that we have to undergo every day. The singer is challenged to make the right choice while facing a problem with no foreseeable solution. The catchy tune combines with the colourful and imaginative lyrics to create an enjoyable experience. The lyrics of Shugo Tokumaru's "Parachute" leave a lasting impression and offer a fascinating interpretation to the listener.

WOW! What a lil' GEM of a tune!! And the guitar playing is too cool- virtuosic, like you don't normally hear in this type of tune. A bit of a knuckle-buster, that riff... and such a catchy, infectious tune. Like nothing I have heard in a long time. Definitely going to look into more of this artist.

Such a wicked acoustic guitar riff.....just jammin’ on that thing. Eight years ago, I purchased two tickets to see him live but due to some emotional death stuff going on, I wasn’t in a celebratory mood and ended up tickets to a friend. When I asked how it went, he said ST was just killin’ it with some serious multi-instrumental wizardry.
