He is buried in Highgate Cemetery, London.

Wow,we all know maestro Cherkassky could play, but that he could also swing is not a common knowledge!!.......this etude was one of his most popular encores especially in Europe.
This is not an easy piece, and yet he just tosses it off, like it was nothing.....
