In 2000, Sia signed to Sony Music's sub-label Dance Pool and released her second studio album, Healing Is Difficult, the following year. Displeased with the promotion of the record, she signed to Go! Beat and released her third studio album, Colour the Small One, in 2004. The project struggled to connect with a mainstream audience, and so Sia relocated to New York City in 2005 and began touring across the United States. She released her fourth and fifth studio releases, Some People Have Real Problems and We Are Born, in 2008 and 2010, respectively. She then took a hiatus from performing, during which she focused on songwriting for other artists. Her catalogue includes the successful collaborations "Titanium" (with David Guetta), "Diamonds" (with Rihanna) and "Wild Ones" (with Flo Rida).
In 2014, Sia released her sixth studio album 1000 Forms of Fear, which debuted at No 1 in the U.S. Billboard 200 and generated the top-ten breakthrough single "Chandelier" and a trilogy of music videos starring child dancer Maddie Ziegler. In 2016, she released her seventh studio album This Is Acting, which spawned her first Hot 100 number one single, "Cheap Thrills". The same year, Sia gave her Nostalgic for the Present Tour, which incorporated performance art elements. Sia has received an array of accolades, including ARIA Awards and an MTV Video Music Award.

Tearing your way through this huge swirl,
I know you're mad, you're on a war path,
You know you don't want to be bury more
Friends
Then we could be friends,
I wish that we were friends,
Yeah
Oh oh oh oh
Big girl, it's hell being unwell,
You know you're stuck where you fell,
Your words give birth like a rosemary,
You know you don't want to bury more
Friends,
Then we could be friends,
I wish that we were friends,
But you can't stop, stop seeing us as the enemy
Friends,
Then we could be friends,
I wish that we were friends,
But you can't stop, stop seeing us as the enemy
Can't bury more friends,
Then we could be friends,
I wish that we were friends,
But you can't stop, stop seeing us as the enemy
Friends,
Yeah we could be friends,
I wish that we were friends,
But you can't stop, stop seeing us as the enemy
You know with every cruel word that you utter,
That you bury yourself even deeper every day,
Oh little girl, there's enough love in this circle,
You can shackle yourself or be free from this pain
You know with every cruel word that you utter,
That you bury yourself even deeper every day,
Oh little, girl there's enough love in this circle,
You can shackle yourself or be free from this pain
You know with every cruel word that you utter,
That you bury yourself even deeper every day,
Oh little girl, there's enough love in this circle,
You can shackle yourself or be free from this pain
In Sia's "Big Girl Little Girl," she addresses the internal battle of a person who is struggling with their emotions and relationships. The song is addressed to a "little girl" who is overwhelmed by her feelings and is pushing people away who could be her friends. Sia compares her to a "rip curl" in the swirling ocean, tearing through everything in her path. She understands that the little girl is mad and on a warpath, but also reminds her that there's enough love within the group of people around her.
Sia pleads with the little girl to stop seeing everyone as an enemy and to instead see them as potential friends. The little girl is stuck where she fell, and her words are giving birth like a rosemary, meaning that they can cause both growth and harm. Sia lets her know that with every cruel word, she buries herself deeper into her own pain. She encourages her to be free from this pain and to accept the love within the circle of people who care for her.
Overall, the song is a message of hope and acceptance, and a reminder that we all have the ability to overcome our struggles and build meaningful connections with others.

"The Girl You Lost To Cocaine"
I've stuck around, through thick and through thin
You cannot deny, I've always been in
But I've watched you stand, still as a snowman
But I don't see you change, you're always at meltdown
Yeah I've been your crutch, your smell sight and touch
Yeah I took you home when you've drunk too much
But I can't survive, with you by my side
See I'll never get laid, while I'm running your life
No I just don't wanna, so I'm walking away
There is nothing that you can do I will not stay
No I don't need drama, so I'm walking away
Yeah I am a girl with a lot on her plate
So just cut me loose, learn to tie your shoes
There's somebody here, I'd like to introduce
So look in the mirror, look for the glass
'Cause you're not my problem, you are my last
No I just don't wanna, so I'm walking away
There is nothing that you can do I will not stay
No I don't need drama, so I'm walking away
Yeah I am a girl with a lot on her plate
No I just don't wanna, so I'm walking away
There is nothing that you can do I will not stay
No I don't need drama, so I'm walking away
Yeah I am a girl with a lot on her plate
No I just don't wanna, so I'm walking away
There is nothing that you can do I will not stay
No I'm not your mama, so I'm walking away
I'm just a girl that you lost to cocaine

So avant-garde. Love it.

Old sia music was may favorite, but I’m glad that she has the recognition that she deserves and that she’s not struggling anymore
@brandonhvacants2217
She didnt struggle before she didnt want to do tours and be in the lime light so she just sold her music. I dont know what changed her mind.
@SamWell-lh8so
brandon HVAC/ANTS she did struggle with drugs, and suicidal thoughts during her older albums, but not anymore 😊
@stevenmorris2234
Sam Well2244 so glad she's doing so much better now but at the same time I still love her older stuff best like this song.
I'm happy for her that she's doing great. Sia rocks.
@chibichan6421
brandon HVAC/ANTS that she isn’t touring and stuff, she is doing what she love and the way she likes it (I suppose) writing music for other pop singers so she doesn’t need to show her face.
@AnaLoveChakra
i first heard sia when she collaborated with zero 7. if you haven't heard that music, it's DIVINE! and really the only sia music i still listen to. i don't like her overly commercial stuff. this was the last song i liked of hers.
@LadyNinjaGaming
I always liked Sia's music no matter how silly it is, cause there's always a message
@LadyNinjaGaming
+Savannah Ovrahim there's far more ridiculous music out there, and From what I see this is her kicking the habit or leaving someone who has had the habit
@claramatthews1350
+Savannah Ovrahim Her message is that she's done taking care of someone who has a drug abuse issue since it's getting in the way of her having a life. She used to have an issue with substances as well but doesn't anymore.
