Omniphobia
Sianvar Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Have you ever shared a premonition
Have you ever lived inside a dream

(Watching me,
Energy,
Moving me,
Stays asleep)
Have you ever stayed in one position
Terrified by movement on machines

Moving walls
It's a cold belief
Frigid halls

It's the problem but we believe
To see,
Believe to be
The dead

Moving walls
It's a cold belief
Frigid halls

It's the problem but we believe
To see,
Believe to live
Again
(What if we could hear them whisper)

Would they give us answers
Would they try
To tell us what the rooms say
To tell us what the walls say

The apparition comes
To stay with us
In terrible condition
Terrible condition

Have you ever laid in one position
(Any move you make is real)
Realized that you forget to breathe
(Any move you make is real)

Whispers in the wall begin to snarl,
Begin to talk
We are the problem now
We are the hollow sounds

Moving walls
It's a cold belief
Frigid halls

It's the problem but we believe
To see,
Believe to be
The dead

Moving walls
It's a cold belief
Frigid halls

It's the problem but we believe
To see,
Believe to live
Again
(What if we could hear them whisper)

What's in front of us
(On the water)
Moving through the walls
(All together)

What's in front of us
(On the water)
Moving through the walls
(Son and father)

What's in front of us
(On the water)
Moving through the walls
(All together)

What's in front of us
(On the water)

What if we could
Hear them all whisper
Stuck in the wall,
Shaking the mirror

What if we could
Hear them all whisper
Stuck in the wall,
Shaking the mirror

Have you ever seen yourself asleep
Whispers in the wall begin to snarl,
Begin to talk

We are the problem now
We are the hollow sounds

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to "Omniphobia" by Sianvar explore the idea of being trapped in a space where movement is limited and there is an underlying fear of the unknown. The first verse asks if the listener has ever had a premonition or lived inside a dream, suggesting that they are in a state of being both awake and asleep at the same time. The chorus explains the feelings of being stuck in one position, unable to move due to fear of the machines and walls around them. This fear is portrayed as a "cold belief" that is believed to be related to the dead. The second verse discusses the idea that maybe the people in the space are not alone, and that there are whispers in the wall that could be trying to communicate.

In the final verse, the fears become more specific as the lyrics mention the apparition that is haunting the space, causing terrible conditions. The repetitiveness of the chorus conveys a feeling of being stuck, and unable to escape the fear that surrounds them. The song ends with a question, asking whether the whispers in the walls could be heard, and whether the mirror could shake, suggesting that the fear may not be entirely internal.

Overall, the lyrics of "Omniphobia" paint a picture of isolation, claustrophobia, and a sense of being trapped in a space where movement is limited and fear is palpable.

@Theohybrid

I think it's a literal interpretation of the lyrics. I think he's saying what if these walls could talk, what would they reveal and about what past lives?

Eventually, they are in grafted into the walls. They are history now. They are not pleading for escape so they arent stuck.

They just represent the people at the end of the verse. We are those people now.

The bassist might be alone playing but, his band isnt there anymore. He's playing as if that's what he's always *been doing.

He left going home but didnt seem scared. Like, it's another day. Perhaps he's gone solo and is just in the music.

The "walls" also house a room. It is monitored by someone outside. Maybe its paranormal but also, maybe that's showbiz. People come and go and if the walls could talk.

But this is about omniphobia, the fear of everything. So perhaps the guy on the laptop is suffering from that. Maybe he's a manager and had been seeing artists or is investigating a haunted house.

Maybe its fear of just being a memory.

After looking st the previous comment, maybe it's the fear of being outdone, left behind and left just being a memory. Because anything can be scary. If you are scared of everything, you might just cease to be history in the walls instead of living?

Just spitballing here.
