Plea From Africa
Sibongile Khumalo Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Give a thought to Africa
'Neath the burning sun
There at hosts of weary hearts
Waiting to be won

Many lives have passed away
And in many homes
There are voices crying out
To the living God

Tell the love of Jesus
By the hills and waters
God bless Africa
And her sons and daughters

Breathe a prayer for Africa
God the father's love
Can reach down and bless all hearts
From his heav'n above

Oh the lips when moved by Grace
They so sweetly sing
Pray for peace in Africa
To the loving God

Tell the love of Jesus
By the hills and waters

God bless Africa
And her sons and daughters

I still say this should be South Africa anthem

@boitumelokhantsi4166

This should be our national anthem. The the current anthem is a compromised hybrid that walk around egg shells to accommodate those who don’t see themselves as African yet want to lord it over all of us. Nkosi sikelela hybrid should go. Rainbow nation honeymoon is over .

@dznkonki8707

This is to me the best rendition of this song by far. By one of the best musicians we ever had but death took her away from us so early and possible at the height of her career. So sad.

@ansiebam2967
