After that he scored a number of short films that same year, one of which made it on national television (Netherlands). One of the most important projects came in 2005, when Sid got in contact with the award-winning director Jeremy Haccoun to score his shortfilm, "Paradox". After this Sid was introduced to conductor Lex Veelo of the Hofstads Jeugd Orkest, the oldest Youth Orchestra in the world. He got commissioned to write a concertpiece for them to perform at the National Youth Orchestra Contest. The concertpiece is called "Overture to the Snow Goose".
2006 was one of the busiest years for Sid, scoring up to fourteen short films aside from trailers, commercials and school projects. One of those short films, “Heart’s Atlantis” by Drew MacDonald, was nominated for Best Score in Australia. He took on a lot of different genres and styles, ranging from drama to horror, thriller/suspense to adventure to comedy to sci-fi / experimental film. His skills evolved and grew by doing all these various films, as did his knowledge of the business.

You, my dear Sir, are an amazing composer/musician! I am very ill and in pain all of the time, your music helps me to feel better! Some of the tracks are so deeply touching it will make me cry. "The Floating World" is one of them as well as others. It assist me with concentration and meditation. I try to meditate often as I practice Buddhism and your music helps with my meditation as well. Thank you for sharing your wonderful and peaceful talent with the world. Thumbs UP! By the way, "Pillars of Light" is one of my favorite albums. I often listen to it when I am programming as well. Pure genius!

I'm sorry it has taken me a while to respond, it's been really hard lately. More bad news about my health. I'm so thankful to be able to listen to your music. It really does help me so much. pure genius! I think back to some nights that I would not have been able to sleep without it or days when medications did not work but your music worked. Its amazing. Thank you so very much. You have and continue to provided me with relief when nothing else can. I love the music and I'm always looking forward to your next masterpiece!

I'm really looking forward to hearing it. I'll tell you , your music has really helped me in so many ways. It's relieved pain by relaxing me when the pain medications don't work, it helps me relax, meditate, concentrate, and sleep too. I just received more bad news regarding my health, I have glaucoma and cataracts in both eyes and I'm going blind. I hope they can do something for me. Glaucoma, there isn't a cure for and any damage that is done is permanent. The cataracts can be fixed but require an operation. The glaucoma can be slowed down with treatment. My vision is so bad now I have to use on screen keyboard and a magnifier to use any of my workstations. I can't make anything out not even someone standing less than 91 Cm (3 ft) from me. Everything is a blur. I've been so hurt over my severe visual impairments, your music has and is really helping me. Thank you so much, your music is really special and I just enjoy listening to it all the time.
