K.I.S.S.I.N.G.
Siedah Garrett Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Oh la la
Oh, baby, baby
Don't you know I live for your touch
Oh, baby, baby
Only you can give me what I want (just what I want)
Yes
Oh, baby, baby
Why don't we just test the waters
Oh, baby, baby
Put your lips next to mine then we'll take a step above

[Chorus]
Begins with love
That's where it's going
I want you, you want me,
This kind of thing can lead
To the birds and the bees
High in the breeze
Boys and girls
Names on trees
All starts with the K I S S, K I S S I N G

Oh, why don't we get together
Don't you know all we ever need
One thing leads straight to another
First things first, second we'll see

[Repeat Chorus]

I like it, you know
K I S S I N G

Oh, baby, baby
Why don't we just test the waters
Oh, baby, baby
Put your lips next to mine then we'll take a step above
And we'll work it overtime

[Repeat Chorus x2]

Wow! I just discovered this and thought 'man this artist is really biting Michael Jackson's style'. Little did I know she is largely the talent behind that distinctive sound. Classic example of of the real genius being the guy behind the guy. What an underrated artist!!!

Ed Reid

Well she did duet with Michael, and was certainly be influenced by him..

the truth

@Larry Earl He very well might be but in this situation he 100% is not.

@the truth Micheal was a biter...

the truth

Stop your saying that to be dismissive towards Michael & his accomplishments. She wrote one song for him. An incredible, class A, exceptional composition but still just one & that was it. Where as Michael wrote era defining classics all by himself MULTIPLE TIMES! So you were correct about this song being good because of the artist behind the artist influencing what you see & hear here. Only it was Michael who was the one behind it. You already knew this but I like to make sure you can’t act like you don’t know. Also I do like her but it’s not a surprise as to why you are only hearing this now. It’s not really a good/hit song. She tried to do a Michael styled song but it just didn’t come together. It’s a standard radio song that is indistinguishable from anything out @that time. She very talented but the truth is the truth….no pun intended

Mr. Bergeron

I loved her voice, She sounds like a mixture of Angela Winbush and Karen White. Love that raspy voice.

Old Man Flying

Siedah is the total package; vocalist, producer, song writer, and ... well, she is sexy as hell! I had a big crush on her back in the day with this video and with the Brand New Heavies. Makes me want to travel back to the 80's and hit the dance clubs!

annmarie clarke

You left out her ability to dance, she was a Soul train dancer and folks with 2 left feet wouldnt be welcomed.
