Los orígenes de 'Siempre así' son diametralmente opuestos a los de una banda de laboratorio, y es que el grupo sevillano nació de forma natural al mismo tiempo que sus componentes, amigos desde la adolescencia, crecían y se divertían.
Su primer encuentro fue en el Coro de la Hermandad del Rocío de Triana, donde también descubrieron el gusto por el cante. A partir de entonces diversos actos sociales y familiares les sirvieron para combinar su arte con los primeros ingresos económicos.
A principios de los 90 Rafael Almarcha, el pilar de la banda y hoy en día principal compositor y productor, tomó la iniciativa de reunir a las mejores voces de entre todos sus colegas y lanzarse a la grabación del primer álbum de 'Siempre así'. Tras el apoyo económico de los amigos "más arriesgados", el proyecto fue publicado en 1992 con una gran fiesta de presentación en su Sevilla natal, donde el público nunca les faltó desde el primer momento.
La compañía discográfica Discos de Arte, fundada por Almarcha, fue el sello con el que publicaron a partir de 1994, cuando salió al mercado 'Mahareta', acompañado ya de la presentación en sociedad de Siempre así en Madrid y de una primera gran gira por 100 localidades españolas. La suerte estaba echada... la música sería la apuesta de los 10 componentes del grupo, que dejaron aparcadas el resto de sus actividades, como el Derecho, la Medicina o la Psicología.
Después del golpe del suerte de actuar en la despedida de solteros de la Infanta Cristina e Iñaki Urdangarín, gracias a lo que pasarían a ser conocidos en toda España, sus discos se vendieron como rosquillas y, entre actuación y actuación, todavía les quedó tiempo para hacer colaboraciones. La más agradable para los miembros del grupo fue la que se incluyó en el disco de Miliki 'A mis niños de 30 años', aunque también les tocó la fibra sensible poder poner banda sonora con su música al Mundial de Atletismo de Sevilla de 1999.
Los kilómetros juntos pueden mucho y la endogamia parece ser lo que primó en 'Siempre así'. Las bodas fueron llegando... y luego los niños. Dentro de la banda de diez miembros hay tres matrimonios y muchos, muchos niños. El circo ambulante que han logrado reunir quiere celebrar ahora sus 10 años juntos, un éxito de 'convivencia' que ya vaticinaron cuando decidieron bautizar la banda como Siempre así. Fue entonces cuando se propusieron que "pasara lo que pasara en el futuro, nuestro buen rollo perduraría..."
