Referring to their influences, most of their songs are based on riffs covered with distortion and overflowing echoes. They describe their sound as "bringing a high gain amplifier and drums into a cave".
The basslines are almost progressive but raw and primitive at the same time, the drumming moves fierce and violent on high tempo and in a sudden could turn calm into a drowning bluesy beats, while the vocals sounded like chants and moans, obviously affected by Plant and Ozzy . while they altogether religiously worshiped the Zeppelin and the Sabbath, each member also have their own musical background. Mirfak have always been a fan of the grunge god Nirvana, the highspeed aggression of Motorhead and anything masculine, while Jono is a heavy metal geek who embrace the holy father Dio , Iron Maiden and the uncanny Uriah Heep. Haikal adores the psychedelic echoes and progressions of Pink Floyd, the complexions of Robert Fripp and the zestful spirit of Jack Whites screech, Tama on the other hand has always been a disciple of Brad Wilk, and praises the likes of Sunn O))) and YOB.
Their interest in Sigmund Freud concepts of unconscious mind and their love for the whimsical world of surrealism are evidently showing in their lyrics. enjoying the exploration of absurdism and juxtaposition in their writings, Dali, Magritte and Chirico might have influenced them as much as Page and Iommi did, paintings made out of hazy poetry and heavy echoed chords.

In The Horizon
Sigmun Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
But I have nothing left to fear
Whatever comes approaching
Whatever words they're preaching
Ahead is the crystal door
The pages that you tore
And above the sea we'll sail
I see your crimson eyes in the horizon
The blistering, blinding light, it is your vision
The breeze will set us free
We're just branches of a tree
Kindling like a coal
Mourning is our soul
The howling of a hall
The cracks within our wall
The long road is concluding
The tidal is receding
The lyrics to Sigmun's song "In the Horizon" are heavily steeped in imagery and symbolism. The singer of the song seems to be approaching the end of something, perhaps the end of life or the end of a journey. Despite this, they express a lack of fear and a sense of calmness in the face of whatever may come. They reference a "crystal door" and "pages" that have been torn, suggesting that they may be on the brink of some kind of spiritual or emotional breakthrough.
The chorus of the song is particularly striking, with the singer describing the horizon and referring to "crimson eyes" and a "blistering, blinding light." This is likely a metaphorical description of a powerful force or entity that is drawing the singer towards it. The idea of being "set free" by the breeze and "sinking" without leaving any trace behind suggests a release from earthly concerns and a surrender to something greater.
Overall, "In the Horizon" is a song that invites interpretation and encourages listeners to consider their own understanding of death, spirituality, and what lies beyond the horizon.
