SikTh's style of music is hard to categorize and as they incorporate many different elements of technical metal, metalcore, death metal, groove metal, rock and hardcore. They are commonly categorized as progressive metal due to their unorthodox approach, as well as technical metal and mathcore due to the complex nature of their instrumental playing abilities.

Maybe now we're not so right
Two people living their different lives
I used to think that
I would never
Ever be so sucked in
You proved me wrong when I held you and felt it take me over
I wanted to be with you
And stay with you
It's so embarrassing
That I...
Fell in love
Fell in love
Fell in love
I
Feel
So weak
When I'm with you
Why can't I get you
Out of my head?
When I go to sleep
I lay my head
Then all I can see
Is you in front of me
Why Did You
Creep into my head
One Day?
And you never went away
Why did you do this
I am Scarred In The Nic-est way
But I want it to heal
Feel so Pa-the-tic that I can't
Control my emotions
Why I am so hyper everyday
Because of you
If you weren't so perfect
Maybe I could get over you
Do you think I deserve this?
Why cant you just be cool?
And I wonder now, what you are
As I fall down.
So good once.
Fell in love
Fell in love
Get out
My Head!
When I go to sleep
I lay my head
Then all I can see
Is you in front of me
Why Did You
Creep into my head
One Day?
And you never went away
Why did you do this again
I am Scarred In The Nic-est way
But I want it to heal
Feel so Pa-the-tic that I can't
Control my emotions
Why I am so hyper everyday
Because of you?
And I wonder now, what you are
As I fall down.
Take my soul away from you
And I wonder now
If you weren't so perfect
What you are
As I fall
Well, maybe she never loved you,
Maybe you never loved her,
Did you ever think of that?
Stop bothering yourself with whispers,
Stop bothering yourself,
Pull yourself together, would you...
Sucked me in
With Just three words
These three words.
Sikth's "Perfect" is a song that appears to detail the struggles of a person who has fallen head over heels in love but is having difficulty getting over their seemingly perfect partner. The opening lines of the song suggest that something is wrong, hence leading the singer to realize that they may not be as right for each other as previously believed. From the lyrics, it is clear that the two individuals are living different lives, which could be the cause of the confusion and struggle that the singer seems to be going through.
The singer goes on to express their confusion and helplessness in the relationship with lines like "Why can't I get you out of my head?" and "Feel so pathetic that I can't control my emotions," highlighting the hold that the partner has on them. The singer seems to acknowledge their weakness and almost seems embarrassed by their inability to control their emotions. The chorus of the song emphasizes the singer's confusion with the line "If you weren't so perfect, maybe I could get over you," which suggests that they may be struggling to let go of their partner because they seem to be perfect in every way.
The song builds to a crescendo in the bridge, where the singer seems to be battling with their emotions, and the line "Well, maybe she never loved you, maybe you never loved her, did you ever think of that?" could be interpreted as a moment of realization that perhaps the relationship wasn't what it appeared to be. The song ends with the singer wondering what their partner truly is and expressing a desire to pull themselves together.

Such a shame that there aren’t any live videos of this brilliant band from back then! Easily one of the best bands I’ve ever seen live, and lovely lads to boot! I used to have a bit of a thing for Justin back in the day!
