Mmm, Silk's in the house
When you get good love
You get foreplay
When you get great love
You get afterplay
Welcome to afterplay
To bless that body
Just to make you feel good
Like you 'spose to
Repeat 1
Hey ladies, say ladies, let us in
Or we'll huff and we'll puff and commit a sin
When we're done and the love session ends
We'll think of something else
That's all I'm sayin'
So don't be flexin', don't be flakes
[Females]
So ya'll gon' be treating us like ladies?
That's no question, that's no question
And in your eyes the passion lies beneath
But it's ok, I got you girl
Ladies
Repeat 1
Repeat 1
It's the way you brought the chorus
It's the way you hold my verse
It's the way you shout it, damn, that's tight
As your body quench my thirst
Musically, it was ecstasy
It felt so good
The lyrics melted in your mouth
But your body understood
We sang lullabies and made you cry
We tried to touch you deep inside
It's afterplay, an afterlude
To get you back into the mood
So let's do this thing, one more care
Rewind the track 'cause Silk is here
Don't rush, take it slow
Here you come, here we go
Repeat 1
Repeat 1
It's suppose to taste good and feel good
And smell good and sound good
Is it good, yeah
Just a little something extra for ya body
Make you feel good, make you feel good
It's suppose to taste good and feel good
And smell good and sound good
This is just an extra music afterplay
To bless that body
It's suppose to taste good and feel good
And smell good and sound good
This is just an extra music afterplay
To bless that body
It's suppose to taste good and feel good
And smell good and sound good
Silk's "Afterplay" is a song that primarily talks about the importance of showing and experiencing affection, passion, and sensuality with a partner, especially in a romantic sexual relationship. The song is divided into three parts, the first part consists of the introduction that establishes the main theme of the song, which is the idea of "afterplay," which is defined as an extra musical caress that blesses the body and makes one feel good. The second part features a conversation between male and female singers where the women demand respect and tenderness, and the men promise to treat them like ladies. The final part of the song describes the ecstasy and desire experienced during sex and shows how music, lyrics, and sexual performance can work together to create a magical experience that connects two people deeply.
The song starts by emphasizing the importance of love and intimacy in sexual relationships. It suggests that good sex is not only about having foreplay and climax but also about "afterplay," a musical affection that follows after climax. Afterplay is characterized by tenderness, slow movements, and a deep connection between the partners. It is an essential element of lovemaking that brings couples closer and rekindles the flame of passion.
The song's second part is a dialogue between male and female singers where the women express their desire to be treated with respect and tenderness. The men, on the other hand, promise to be gentle, honorable, and respectful lovers. This conversation emphasizes the importance of intimacy in sexual relationships and the value of mutual consent, respect, and understanding.
The final part of the song is a sensual ode to pleasure and ecstasy. The lyrics describe how the music, lyrics, and sexual performance work together to create a magical experience that transcends the physical. It is an emotional and deeply personal experience that connects two people at a profound level.
