Call It In
Silverbullit Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

This is the last phase for every one
Every scar and every coming down
This is the last place
Anyone gets to own

Call it in

Shift your point of view
When you turn your back
Every single day that you know
You're never coming here
I'll learn your face
And then I'll learn your ways
And then we'll see about that

There are never any promises
That will last in memories

Overall Meaning

The opening lines of Silverbullit's song "Call It In" suggest a sense of finality, with the phrase "this is the last phase for every one." The lyrics go on to describe scars and coming down, possibly referring to the trials and tribulations that everyone faces in life. The chorus urges the listener to "call it in," encouraging them to take ownership of their lives and make the most of the time they have.

The second verse suggests a need to shift one's point of view and urges the listener to "learn your face and then I'll learn your ways." The final lines of the song emphasize the fleeting nature of life, with the recognition that promises do not last in memories.

Overall, "Call It In" seems to be a reflection on the impermanence of life and the need to make the most of the time we have. The chorus encourages action, reminding us that we have the power to make choices and take ownership of our lives.

@righteousratWow.. Better than Doolittle & Surfer Rosa?? Really??? To each his own I guess.

righteousrat

Yep. Agreed. Not to say that the previous new albums aren't good, they're just getting better. I'll even venture to say that Beneath the Eyrie is one of my favorite Pixies' releases. I like it better than Surfer Rosa and Doolittle

When she comes in with the backing vocals here, it sounds fantastic! Just one of the few tools she's contributing to the band, I'm sure.
