Simon I, pronounced Simon "Premier" (Simon the First), is a respectable fellow from a North American town called Drummondville who decided to launch a side project. So he started writing songs in the tongue of Shakespeare, Dylan, and McDonald. Tongues have always been a passion for him. And Simon I knows music. Rain or shine, his head is always full of new melodies. Simon I left his land to go to New Amsterdam, where he got down to work with two producers, Gus van Go and Werner F. Simon I likes true craftsmanship. He tries to play every instrument or just about. After spending a few weeks in exile to record last winter, Simon I and his acolytes revealed a ten-track self-titled album in 2015 that sounds like a ton of bricks. Each song has its own melodic depth, its own character. You’ll find Simon I to be a great melody-maker. And where did he find this wonderful style? The secret lies in Drummondville.
AUTOMATIC
Simon I Lyrics

This love keeps running night and day
It's there for you to use it
This love is automatic
As we drove into the city half asleep
As our guts were filled with cushions
What we felt was something new
How I wish we could explain what just happened
And we find words to describe just how we feel
And we come up with some kind of explanations
We'd be up for Nobel prizes as we speak
We'd be selling books by the hundreds of millions
This love is automatic
This love keeps running night and day
It's there for you to use it
This love is automatic
This love is automatic
This love keeps running night and day
It's there for you to use it
This love is automatic
It's the sort of thing that's working in our sleep
It's the sort of thing that needs no attention
This love is automatic
This loves keeps running night and day
It's there for you to use it
This love is automatic
The song "Automatic" by Simon I is a love song that describes the intensity and effortlessness of love. It speaks about how love works in mysterious ways, running 24/7 and always available for use - a force that can control and guide people effortlessly. The song portrays how love can bring about unexplainable feelings and emotions that one can barely describe. The first verse talks about driving half-asleep into the city, and then feeling something new and deep, an unexpected feeling that’s difficult to explain. This embodies the true essence of love, a feeling that cannot be tamed or confined.
In the second verse, the lyrics continue by painting the picture of how people try to explain this feeling through words, yet it still remains impossible to put it into descriptive terms. It's almost like wanting to explain something as vast and complex as love is trying to win the Nobel Prize, or trying to sell millions of books, something seemingly unachievable. The chorus repeats the phrase, "This love is automatic, this love keeps running night and day, it's there for you to use it." This signifies that love is constant, unyielding and readily available for use.
Overall, Simon I’s "Automatic" lyrics paint a beautiful picture of an unexplainable love that’s automatic, running 24/7, and always there to guide and control people’s emotions.

Excellent album! Ma préférée: Fleet Week. Je m'identifie en particulier au passage "For all this time you've been trying to find that someone special. I know that I'm not the kind of special that you had in mind. But I'm special, they tell me all the time".
