This movie really does have a stacked cast. Even for some very brief cameos in which the actors aren't even recognizable. Notably, the "Father Christmas" who stabs Nicholas in the opening montage is played by Peter Jackson and Nicholas' ex-girlfriend is played by Cate Blanchett, fully concealed by hooded disposable coveralls and a face mask.

@Knight-Bishop

I'll toss in Mr. Weaver, played by Edward Woodward, the lead in the original Wicker Man and the original Equalizer. He's probably the least recognizable.

@tastyneck

Apparently there was supposed to be a romance arc for Simon Pegg's character but they axed it and gave some of the woman's lines to Nick Frost's character. Which, if you didn't know, you can kind of feel. It adds to them getting close as friends. But upon re-watch, it's even more funny and genius and heartwarming knowing they were supposed to be from Pegg's lover, which Frost is essentially in this film (in a platonic, bro love way).

EDIT: Also, bold move to watch the Cornetto Trilogy in reverse order. LMAO.

@WilliamButtlicker

Not exactly reverse tho, The Worlds End is the last in the trilogy, this one's in the middle.

@tastyneck

@@WilliamButtlicker He says he saw The World's End in theaters at the beginning of this vid, hence why I said reverse order.

@WilliamButtlicker

@@tastyneck oh my bad then, must've missed that.

@tastyneck

@@WilliamButtlicker no worries. sorry for being an ass about it.

@WilliamButtlicker

@@tastyneck you weren't lol, it's fine

I love the layers of Danny's character. He's not the terrible cop he seems to be at first. He's just had horrible role models his entire career. Once Angel shows up and takes him under his wing, he proves that he's actually pretty capable as a cop.

I try to watch every Hot Fuzz reaction video I can because it’s one of my all time favourites and I have to say I’m very impressed with Hayley’s big brain and correctly figuring out that the NWA was behind the murders, and for knowing why they did it, far early than the dozens of other reactors I’ve seen react to this film. That’s some genius level detecting Hayley! We’re making you Sergeant...
