Born and raised in the Bay Area, (San Jose, Ca.) on September 25th 1975, he grew up on the likes of N.W.A., Too Short, King Tee, The D.O.C., and many other California based emcees. By the time he was 11 years old Nicho started to write poetry in hopes that one day it would grow into something much bigger. When he got into high school, he met another emcee by the name of D-Skins who mentored and tutored Nicho in writing lyrics and putting together metaphors. As a group they started doing talent shows at school. It wouldn’t be long before Nicho started getting recognized around his city as “A.K.” With the combination of rapid fire flows and hard hitting punch lines, he was considered one of the fastest emcees around and definitely one of a kind in the Bay considering at that point in time there was more of a relaxed flow. Then E-40 came around. He was tired of being compared to someone else so he ventured with other styles making the sound you hear today. By the age of 15 he had dropped out of high school and struggled living place to place, sleeping in cars and basically trying to get in where he fit in. Although music was his passion, he had to place it on the back burner. He ended up joining a company that transferred him to Arizona where years later formed the group Simply Pimpin’. Now it all seems clear and with his ultimate dream edging closer day by day, he, along with the others in the group are committed to making music that all people can relate to. The rest is just history in the making.

"But he was sporting all my clothes I gotta say pretty pimpin" is probably the coolest line I've ever heard in a song.
