On Michelle this was a great video. I have been researching these products for a while. You asked all the questions I have and more. Can't tell you enough how much I appreciate all of your work. Your friend's hair looks amazing too. I like that you showed two different hair types and she talked about other options and price points.

love this video I have been looking into this as well and have had so many of the same concerns. One of my biggest problems with this stuff too is that it's so expensive. I have waist length hair so it's about 375 or more depending on the salon. I llike how she answered all of your questions without any reservations.

Your hair looks amazing. This was a great way to show everything that happens. It seems a lot of people I know are getting Keratin, but I don't think it is for me, since I have such straight flat hair anyway. I wish they made a process like this for someone with flat hair that needs volume, so I wouldn't need to mess with curling irons and blow dryers every day!!

I have pin straight hair, but I still watched this video. Very informative thank you, I will show it to my little sister, the consistency of her hair is the same as yours, wavy and thick. The difference is noticeable. Your hair looks so nice. ps. great job on this video.

to the people who are downplaying the job of a cosmetologist, please dont. i recently got my cosmetology license, while in high school, and it was not easy and fun all the time, there is a whole science class accompanied w the program. you go into depth in anatomy,physiology, and chemistry. yes we do hair and make money doing something you love, but its a journey and lots of money getting that license.

I never thought I would need this because I wear hair extensions and I would just overly straighten my hair anyway. But when she said it will help your hair grow I am seriously considering getting this! I've been trying to grow my hair forever and I think this would be such a good investment! :)

It's funny because my natural hair is quite similar to yours and I LOVE it.. I always get compliments on my hair. Wouldn't trade it for anything. :) But you look gorgeous with the treatment too!

I feel your pain girl! I have very curly hair and can't stand the frizz factor especially in the summertime in florida! I would love to do a keratin treatment but don't want to pay that much. I figure it's my issue with my hair because I constantly get stopped by people who love my hair and I just don't get it but I guess we always want what we don't have:))

@michele1218 I'm of mixed race, my hair is out of this world curly, so I get spending time on it to change how it looks. BUT YOUR NATURAL HAIR IS SO PRETTY. I used to straighten mine constantly until one day I realized how much time I'd save if I just wore it naturally curly. I will say, the keratin treatment looks amazing though!

my hair is like yours and i like it :-) i just get some choppy layers chopped into it and it air dries really nicely. i cant be dealing with a hairdryer and my ghds have sat in my bathroom cupboard looking more and more forlorn! also have you tried that babyliss hairdryer/brush thing i think its called big hair? it would make life so much easier for you my mum uses it and she has the MOST unruly hair ever.

Does this have Formaldehyde? I did the Coppola Keratin Treatments and loved them until I found out there was Formaldehyde and chemicals in it and I won't put that in my hair no more. It's a bummer because my hair was amazing!!

I think we all want what we can't have. I TOTALLY understand your hatred for your thick hair ...Mine is so thick I can barely ever stand to straighten it fully, so I'm always pulling it up in a bun. I get it thinned out almost every month and its STILL thick. I might have to look into this treatment...its a bit pricey, so I might try out the shampoo/conditioner and see if that could hold me. :)

i know its really bad, but i havnt gotten my hair cut in over a year and the ends are really dead and split. So if i got this treatment would the dead ends of my hair just 'dust' away like the lady said?

so I don't think I'm really getting it. I have gotten a keratin treatment before about a year ago. Does this keratin treatment have a suitable level of formaldehyde? The one I got had 2% formaldehyde, which is 10 times the approved amount as stated by the FDA (.2%). Formaldehyde does cause cancer, and the salon I had it done at doesn't do the treatment anymore.

hi Michele, i checked their website and i found out the they do not recommend having the treatment while pregnant..do you think i can do the touch of keratin (the at home treatment) instead? or completely wait until pregnancy is over? thanks :)

@michele1218 But it's so pretty just on it's own. :) Mine is very similar and it took me a while to get where I really liked it and would just wear it natural. Yours is so much healthier than mine though and it's just so pretty. :)

@michele1218 but why not just embrace your natural hair instead? you don't HAVE to blow dry/flat iron, you want to, big difference. I gave up all that stuff long time ago and my life became so much easier, not to mention my hair is so much healthier now. however, to each his own.

This product has Vanillin in it, which turns to formaldehyde when heated at 450 degress. So you can't really get away from it, but its the same level as Vanillin that is used in chocolate chip cookies, food, and beverages. FDA approved. So i guess its not that bad, but I can't willingly put that in my hair and inhale it.....BTW i'm now done eating chocolate chip cookies UGH!

your "frizzy" hair is what my hair looks like AFTER I straighten & put a serum in it lol. I don't think your natural hair is that bad lol You're lucky. But thanks for this video! I would def. consider getting one if I had more money :/

I love your videos, but if that's your idea of unruly and frizzy hair then.. i dunno. My hair looked like your natural hair AFTER my keratin treatment, and it took them over 5 ounces of keratin and over 4 hours while 2 people were working on my hair. Also, just the smell of the keratin really irritated my eyes. So if people out there have really sensitive eyes, they should be careful while getting the treatment.

its horrible to have to straighten your hair and put so much effort and time into it everyday, so leave her alone if she wants to do the freaking treatment!
