(1) [source : RadioMOI] Emerging from the shackles of the London, ON hardcore scene in December of 1997, the original lineup included core members Ian Murray (vocals, guitar), Ryan Ford (guitar), Gregg Wolfe (bass) and featured Justin Wolfe, of ACACIA on drums. Immediately tagged as the band that the girlfriends of hardcore boys could go to a show and listen to, Sinclaire quickly found a solid fan base amongst both sweet young girls and sensitive, sweater-vest wearing lads alike. With Justin Wolfe replaced, four months later, by Mike Maxymuik (The Swarm, Acrid), the current Sinclaire lineup and sound began to take shape. Growing up quickly on the Southern Ontario hardcore circuit, it often seemed as if Sinclaire were the odd band out on most bills they appeared on; looks, however, can be more than a little deceiving. Equally at home in front of Hardcore and Backpack kids alike, the band bent to the task of perfecting their live show and writing some incredibly catchy, not to mention incredibly good, songs. Entering the studio in July of 1998, Sinclaire released their self titled EP on Toronto's Leptis Magna label in December, 1998. Having shared the stage with the likes of Chixdiggit, The Promise Ring, Jimmy Eat World, Joan of Arc, Burning Airlines, Gameface, By A Thread and Les Savy Fav... Sinclaire continues to cross genre boundaries without a thought about what they're doing. Simply put, kids love Sinclaire. You will too.
(2) Sinclaire are an indie rock band from Sydney, Australia, with a lineup of Michael Cross, Jake Sheath and Aiden Turner (also formerly Lachlan McDonald and Joshua Gonzales). They released their debut single 'Headspace' in late 2018, and their first EP 'Now I'm Ready To Start' in June 2019, before transitioning to a more alt-pop sound from 2020 with singles like 'Let's Fly To Rome'.

Sinclaire Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
And i will take the blame for what's become.
When i catch my breath, when i let this go.
When i find a way of letting you know
It's over.
When i've given up question why
I'll be trying to try not to tear down
And it's like being told
Everything you know is wrong.
The pedistal you put your life on comes crashing down.
On your hopes
And your goals.
And i said
When i catch my breath, when i let this go.
When i find a way of letting you know
It's over.
When i've given up questioning why
I'll be trying to try not tear down empty air.
Can't let this go.
Well maybe i'm just too scared that i want more.
Letting go to me is like giving up.

The lyrics of Sinclaire's song "Post" describe a relationship that has come to an end, and the aftermath of that ending. The singer in the song is taking responsibility for the way things have turned out, acknowledging that they will "take the blame for what's become." The silence that remains after a relationship ends is clearly weighing on the singer, as they struggle to find a way to communicate their feelings to the other person. The lyrics suggest that the singer wants to move on and let go of the relationship, but is struggling to do so.
The image of the pedestal crashing down is particularly poignant, as it speaks to the way in which we often elevate our relationships and our partners to an unrealistic level. When a relationship ends, it can feel like our whole world has come crashing down around us, especially if we were particularly invested in that relationship. The lyrics suggest that the singer is struggling to come to terms with the fact that the relationship is over, but is determined to try to move on and let go.
Overall, the lyrics of "Post" are a powerful reflection on the way in which relationships can impact our lives, and the way in which we struggle to move on from them. The song speaks to the pain of endings, but also suggests that there is hope for moving forward and finding something new.
