Guest appearances through various Six Feet Under albums include Ice-T on True Carnage's "One Bullet Left" and Karyn Crisis of Crisis fame on the True Carnage song "Sick and Twisted." Many consider this the first death metal duet between a male and female.
World-renowned tattoo artist Paul Booth is known to do most of Six Feet Under's album art.
2) 6 Feet Under was Nanette DeLaune, Jerry Dobb, Scott Julian, Duane Ulgherait, Jay Crystal, Hector Tico Torres. Formed in 1966 out of the ashes of the Marc 5 and The Sonix, this Colonia, NJ ensemble captured the changing times and sociological upheaval of the pre-Woodstock Nation. Like the Jefferson Airplane, Neighb'rhood Childr'n and The United States Of America, Six Feet Under was blessed with a dynamic diva who soared amidst searing fuzz leads, swirling organ chords, and gifted songwriting with prophetic lyrics. Tomorrow's Victim
Six Feet Under Lyrics

Knowledge of the future
I've broken through the barrier
Transcend beyond my body
The spirits call me
These nightmares are reality
Reflections - in my eyes
Visions, victims
I've seen each death
Murder, torture
I know the next - dead
Through shadows of the night
Reaching for the light
I've seen them die
When I close my eyes
Reflections - of another life
Reflections - in my eyes
I've seen the dead
Tomorrow's victim
I've told of places I've seen
But have never seen
Terror, fear
As each life ends
Horror, dread
I've seen the next - dead
The lyrics of Six Feet Under's song "Tomorrow's Victim" depict a person who is experiencing vivid and terrifying premonitions about future deaths. The lyricist speaks about having a premonition and dreaming about horrors that are yet to come to pass. He seems to have access to knowledge of the future that has allowed him to transcend beyond his body and interact with the spirits of the deceased. The nightmares that he is experiencing are becoming a reality, and he is powerless to prevent the deaths that he sees in his visions. The torment that he experiences haunts him even during his waking hours, and he can see the reflections of the other life that he is tapped into in his own eyes.
The chorus of the song speaks about the visions of the victims that the singer of the lyrics has witnessed. He has seen every death, and he knows the details of every murder and torture that is yet to come. Through the shadows of the night, and in his waking hours, he can see these individuals die when he closes his eyes. The lyricist is tormented by the visions that he is experiencing and can almost feel the terror, fear, horror, and dread that the victims of his nightmares feel as they meet their end.
Overall, the lyrics of "Tomorrow's Victim" seem to speak to the human fascination with death and dying. The song explores the fear and powerlessness that humans experience when faced with their own mortality, and the morbid curiosity that many people share about the ways in which others will meet their demise.

Best death metal album ever.

Absolutely agreed. I can totally get down with some frantic high speed Cannibal Corpse intensity but to me this is the stuff that Rings deepest and truest and most elegant over the long Arc of time. I'm deep in the process of writing my next album into bringing in as much of this into the world of acoustic roots music as I can. I don't really understand how there isn't an entire generation of death metal bands basing their entire sound on this album. It seems like most of the bloodline followed to the other Branch, the double bass post-hardcore flip-out thing. To me, this album is an archetypal standard for slow power metal, a continuation of what Black Sabbath started. There is a confident and relaxed Elegance to songs like this, where the band is in no rush whatsoever and doesn't seem to have anything to prove. When he gets into these lyrics, he takes me on a journey that is much deeper and more peaceful than the superficial hack and stab flip-out experience that you get from Modern Cannibal Corpse and the bands they have influenced. I love the album Vile very much, more than any other George album...but God, if there were some way to preserve the best of what Chris did with the Created To Kill demo with the best of what George did on that album and somehow combine that with this album, well, that would be the undisputed Michael Jordan of death metal

One of my favs off the album

Absolutely. The intro and chorus riffs are so relaxed and epic. It makes me want to gallop along a mountain ridge in the winter atop a black horse
Francis Cronin
To me this song is the quintessential alternative to the frantic Cannibal Corpse sound. As much as I like hearing George and the other guys rip things to shreds with great precision and speed I also really like this wide open stopping and Majestic sound, unhurried and regal even
