Sizzla, along with reggae recording artists such as Capleton, Buju Banton, and Anthony B, are credited with leading a movement toward a re-embracement of Rastafarian values in contemporary reggae music by recording material which is concerned primarily with spirituality, social consciousness, explores common themes, such as Babylon's corrupting influence, the disenfranchisement of ghetto youth, oppression of the black nation and Sizzla's abiding faith in Jah and resistance against perceived agents of oppression. Sizzla has over 40 full completed albums sold in record stores to date, the most popular which have been "Black Woman & Child" and "Da Real Thing" on the Digital B label, "Praise Ye Jah" on Xterminator, and "Rise to the Occasion" on Greensleeves.
Recently, however, he has come under fire for the homophobic content of many of his lyrics, and the advocacy of violence against gays.

You won't have a shout any more
One day, you'll be in the ground
You're over and out, and
You've missed the last tube home
One day, you'll be on your own
You won't have a shout any more
You're over and out, and
You've missed the last tube home
Woke up this morning, heard someone snoring
Knobheads going on about modern life is boring
Bears have their own music, no-one can prove it
Just like I'm a guy of guys
You think I'm gonna move it
One day, you'll be on your own
You won't have a shout any more
One day, you'll be in the ground
You're over and out, and
You've missed the last tube home
Sum up together, nobody's the wiser
It's life in the sunshine, that's what I would advise her
?
One day, you'll be on your own
You won't have a shout any more
One day, you'll be in the ground
You're over and out, and
You've missed the last tube home
One day, you'll be on your own
You won't have a shout any more
One day, you'll be in the ground
You're over and out, and
You've missed the last tube home
Woooooo!
Yeeeh-haaa!
One day, you'll be on your own
You won't have a shout any more
One day, you'll be in the ground
You're over and out, and
You've missed the last tube home
(Repeat x3)
The lyrics of Sizzla's "One Day" are a reminder of the fleeting nature of life and its inevitability of coming to an end someday. The song warns that one day we will all be on our own with no one to rely on, and all the things we once had shout over will be gone. The imagery of being in the ground and missing the last tube home adds to the message of the transitory nature of life.
The song opens with Sizzla waking up and hearing someone snoring, and dismissing the idea that modern life is boring. He compares himself to a guy who won't be moved and draws a connection between it and the bears who have their music, which nobody can prove. The song then repeats the refrain of how one day, we will be on our own, without anyone to help and it'll be too late to do anything about it. The message is that life is precious, and we should cherish every moment we have because one day it will be over.
