Yea man, all praises Holy One, Selassie I
Yea man, I say the Conquerin' Lion
Of the Tribe of Judah, you know

I say bring down all evil conception
And all false and fake government in this Island
Yea man, I show dem fire bun dem politics
Church and commercial, yo

Let the righteous man be exceedingly glad
Rasta bless your little and the much whey you have
Yo, it is ah earth struggle ghetto youths uno fi trod
Life for all your efforts how could you go do no bad

Let the righteous woman be exceedingly glad
Rasta bless the youth, dem with the little whey dem have

Overall Meaning

The song "Bless The Youth" by Sizzla is a call to action for the youth in Jamaica to rise up against corrupt government and institutions, and to embrace the Rastafari way of life. The lyrics express a desire to see an end to false and fake government, and a rejection of politics, church, and commercial institutions that contribute to corruption and pollution. The song urges the youth to pursue a righteous path, to strive towards progress, and to be glad with whatever little they have. Sizzla also addresses the power of knowledge, education, and inspiration in African culture.

Sizzla's lyrics reflect the political and social landscape of Jamaica in the late '90s and early 2000s, where poverty, violence, and political turmoil were rampant. The song's message resonated with many Jamaican youths who saw Rastafarianism as a way to reject the status quo and embrace a more spiritual way of life. Additionally, the song's use of reggae rhythms and Rastafarian terminology helped to further cement Sizzla's status as one of reggae's most influential artists.

There is no way to compare the best. Best is best. No such thing as "best -1" "best-2" etc.
V.C. gave us one of the holiest gems alongside Marley and Silk and many many many others.
Assassin brings some goodness.
L.M.S.
How come Bushman isn't in the discussion?
Buju goes hard.
Same way Levy.
Rebel.

I'm embarrassed I didn't name Warrior King yet.

"Best?"

"Best Reggae?"

You're giving me a HEADACHE!
I can't choose a single one.

I just say Jamaica is the best, but then I see how much Fam in America and mainland East and other Islands contribute.
So I just have to say "Africa".
Africa is the best.

Who's your favourite Reggae artist?
"Africa".

I don't know how else to answer that.
Africa's Beautiful Creation are the best.

I was at Reggae on the River and Beres Hammond was playing at the big night show.
A 19 year old Sizzla came out and torn it the fuckdown, he dropped 3 tracks on us and both of his feet were never on the ground at the same time. I keep thinking all night that dude sizzler (like the restaurant) was the shit. I look for his album for like 6 months then I went to Rasputin ( in Berkeley)and found his album and found out his name was sizzla.

This is more than a song to me, I term it as a militant poem instilling reawakening to the general public to be aware of the predictable and unforseen dangers of this world.
