why all the thumbs down? this guy is right. Even a Rastafarian will tell you that not all Rastas wear dreads and and not all people who wear dreads are Rasta. Dreadlocks go back to ancient Egypt and beyond. Many cultures had the dreadlock hairstyle, even though it is often attributed to Jamaica and Rastafarian culture. That's like saying black and white checkered pattern = ska, which is not always the case. It wasn't invented or used exclusively by the 2-tone label.

I had a witch/hag/lady visit me evrey other night for a year when i was 6 (1989), within that year i Was struck by lightning (the great storm of 1989 UK) and me and my sister seen a figure in the mirror staring back at us, to me it looked like a strange grey rasta man with strange glasses on but my sister said it was a red native American indian, no fakin just many other things as well but all in the same town, just thought i would share ✌️

actually this is what's known as third wave ska. The Jamaican ska you're referring to is called first wave named after the very first ska band, the skatalites. Second wave is generally british, i.e The Specials.
