Snickers
Skarhead Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴
Fighting and drinking on a Saturday night. Ain't no excuses, that's just our life.
Fighting and drinking on a Saturday night. Ain't no excuses, that's just our life.
Just our life.
Just... Our... Life.
Non-stop chillin', nothing to lose - Snickers - After hours with the Skarhead Crew, no money in my pocket, fist full of brews, non-stop chillin' is the life I choose.
I'm drunk again
and I don't know why, fighting in the streets until the morning light. This is the lifestyle and we'll never change, with Skarhead Crew, it's always the same.
The lyrics of Skarhead's song "Snickers" are a snapshot of the chaotic and wild lifestyle of the Skarhead Crew. The song describes the typical Saturday night of the crew, consisting of heavy drinking, drug use, and fighting. The opening lines depict the debauchery of the night, with skeezers (prostitutes) snorting cocaine and hiding drugs in their pantyhose. This sets the stage for the rest of the night, which consists of more drinking and fighting. The chorus repeats the phrase "Fighting and drinking on a Saturday night, Ain't no excuses, that's just our life", which emphasizes the idea that this is just how the crew lives and they are unapologetic about it.
The lyrics also touch on the camaraderie of the Skarhead Crew, with the line "After hours with the Skarhead Crew" showing that they stick together even in the midst of chaos. The line "Non-stop chillin', nothing to lose" could also be interpreted as the crew's way of escaping the struggles of their everyday lives, even if it means engaging in reckless behavior. The song ends with the repetition of "Just our life", which further emphasizes the idea that this is the only life the Skarhead Crew knows and they are content with it.
