Cancion De Cuna
Skay Beilinson Lyrics

Un refresco en tu corazón
Te canto esta canción de cuna
Duerme niño, mi niño robot.
Duerme, duérmete mi niño
Duerme, duérmete mi sol
Yo te canto esta canción de cuna
Duerme niño, niño robot.
Skay Beilinson's song "Canción de Cuna" tells the story of a person who has inserted a new "rivet" or a "new bolt" on someone's forehead and refreshing their heart. This person is singing a lullaby to someone they call "my child robot" and telling them to sleep. It seems like their child is an artificial creation, as they have called the child a robot. However, the lyrics can also be interpreted as a metaphor for someone who is constantly being shaped and fixed by the external forces in their life. The person singing the lullaby is the external force singing and trying to lull the child/robot character to sleep, suggesting that the child/robot is unable to rest on their own.
The lyrics of this song demonstrate the struggles of people who are trying to adjust to change in their environment, and how they take comfort in familiar phrases, actions, and music. They are trying to comfort themselves with something that they know and feel familiar with. At the same time, these lyrics may also try to hint that this idea of comfort from something familiar might not be enough. The repetition of the phrase "Duerme niño, mi niño robot" could suggest that change may not come until the child/robot is able to sleep without a lullaby, and they make peace with the transformation around them.
