1. Handpicking elements of pop, rock & emo in equal measure, SKIES first made their mark on the scene with the release of their debut EP 'If You Feel Like It' Produced by Oz Craggs (Mallory Knox/Neck Deep/Feed The Rhino) via Lab Records.
From there, the band picked up support across the board from the likes of Punktastic, Already Heard & Clash, to Q, TMRW, Maximum Pop, BBC Introducing and Radio 1. Tracks also featured on Spotify’s Rockd, Hot New Bands, Summer Indie & Fierce Femme’s playlists.
With a run of UK headline dates under their belt, UK festivals and a breakthrough support tour with Manchester’s The Slow Readers Club, the band released their sophomore EP ‘We Fear Change’ off the back of an incredible 2017, and arguably their biggest achievement to date: a sold out hometown show at Folkestone’s 400 capacity Quarterhouse in Kent.
Early 2018 saw SKIES' get off to a flying start with their cover of Enter Shikari's 'Live Outside'. SKIES'version of the song received acclaim from KERRANG! Radio and even from Enter Shikari themselves.
Having already supported the likes of Clean Cut Kid, Coasts, The Slow Readers Club, The Hoosiers, MIYAVI and more, the band are keen to get back on the road in support of third EP 'X' due to be released this June (01.06.18).

2. Skies first emerged in the scene in the summer of 2008. From humble beginnings Skies fought their way to the top of the Kansas hardcore scene after releasing "The Age of Reason EP" in December of 2009. In June/July of 2010, Skies made themselves known beyond the boundaries of Central Kansas, touring the Midwest on the Tupac ShaTOUR. Ending their tour at Cornerstone Music Festival, the band drew
consistent crowds of enthusiastic fans and began to draw a following nationwide. With enduring vigor, the band continued to tour and write music that is impacting and meaningful. In August of 2011, Skies released their recently recorded full length album "Bane and Rebirth".
Establishing a name as a hardcore band from Central Kansas is not easy, but Skies continues to fight against the odds to find their place in Midwest Hardcore. After releasing their debut album, and touring across the United States, the band is regrouping with a new fire to perform music that impacts the underground. The mission of Skies is to empower young people in the underground scene with a positive attitude; to do away with apathy, negativity and oppression. The band hopes to promote a positive, drug free lifestyle that brings brotherhood and unity back into hardcore.

In Skies's song Flames, he talks about a relationship that is fraught with tension and conflict, where both partners are lost players with no shame. The relationship is like a game where they are both victims to their own flames, but also the only ones to blame. Despite the difficulty of their situation, he can see hope for the future of their relationship.
The lines "Lost players with no shame, Victims to our own flames, No one but ourselves to blame" suggest that the couple is caught in a cycle of hurt and pain, where both parties are equally responsible for the problems in their relationship. However, the following lines "It's hard as I can see, The seas of it to me" hint at the possibility that the singer may be trying to work through the challenges they are facing.
