The Bass-line sets the rhythm of this track :)

This will be a rant, but a valid one...
I heard the pigeon-hole "Dubstep" in DeadPool 2 the other day....
.... I went straight to this track and ranted at a friend for a good 10mins how Rusko went from Leeds to London, randomly got a S.London accent, went to the U.S and completely threw the book of where his sound began out the window.

Then the U.S. took the genre to it's max (that was basically SFX from the Transformers and interchanging bass-lines) which blossomed into remixes of well known singers (GOOD singers) songs.
And now it's spawned a lot of sub-genres, which is great! Just don't try to replicate = The term "Dubstep" is wildly spread on anything atm.

Do what you do, make your own sound & definitely listen to this track once a week (atleast) to remind yourselves where whomever labelled the genre GOT IT RIGHT!
I just hear Trance in it's "evolution" these days, and a few years ago, it WAS about "The Drop".... Do we want to listen ONLY to when it gets to 1m37s "OH THE DROP'S COMIN'!!!"?
Or do we want to appreciate the song as a whole?

Yes - Everyone is very well entitled to their own opinions and tastes, but.... I guess as I have done with any genre I make, trace it's constituents back to it's inspirations (Yep! Even Disco!") and know the history of what you wish & are about to make .

Forgive the rant....

my god, that one bass note at the end of the bar hits sooo DEEP, It feels like my eardrums are getting pushed into my skull. I want this to be my theme song.

This is the type of dubstep that makes you want to take a shower

Patrick Doyle

This song literally the reason I was standing around naked in my living room, waiting to turn the water on. This track is on nearly the same level of a hot shower tbh
