Taking the weight from which has yet to be found.
If you can hear me now why don't you recall.
I was the one who loved you after all.
A silent heart ticking under the ground.
Taking the weight from which has yet to be found.
If you can hear me now why don't you recall.
A silent heart ticking under the ground.
Taking the weight of which has yet to be found.
If you can hear me now why don't you recall.
I was the one who cared after all.
A silent heart ticking under the ground.
Taking the weight from which has yet to be found.
If you can hear me now why don't you recall.
I was the who loved you after all.
The lyrics of Skrillex's song "Summit" are an emotional and heartfelt expression of unrequited love. The opening line, "A silent heart ticking under the ground," suggests a hidden and unexpressed feeling, one that has been buried deep within the individual's heart. The following line, "Taking the weight from which has yet to be found," further emphasizes the heaviness of this feeling and the burden it places on the individual.
As the chorus repeats, the singer addresses a specific person, asking why they have not remembered their love. The line "If you can hear me now why don't you recall" reflects the pain of feeling forgotten and unimportant to the person they loved. The repetition of the final line, "I was the one who loved you after all," cements the theme of unrequited love and the singer's longing to be remembered.
Overall, the song is a poignant expression of love and loss, and the feelings of hurt and desperation that can come with unrequited affection.
