History
Greer, Annette, Batti and Angela were in the same high school back in 1994 (Cheltenham Girls' High, North Sydney) when they decided to form the all-girls rock band. The release of their first full-length album, Too Fat for Tahiti gained them a respectable following, support places with major bands and frequent airplay on Triple J, Australia's nationwide alternative public radio station. Their songs "Naughty" and "Hëj" were voted into the Triple J Hottest 100 at number 50 and 80 respectively of that year, the album was nominated for an ARIA (Best Independent Album) and the band nominated for 'Best New Live Act' at the Australian Music Awards.
The band toured Australia exhaustively before recording a new album "The Double Life" which was released early 2003. They released a free download only single "Rock Nugget" which received high rotation on Triple J. The album received 'feature album' on Triple J, however sales of "The Double Life" were somewhat disappointing compared to those of debut "Too Fat for Tahiti". The band went on to release singles "Coming Home" and "In Your Arms" and played the national Big Day Out tour in 2004 alongside heroes Metallica, Magic Dirt, The Darkness and others. Early 2004 also had the band supporting Pink at the Sydney and Newcastle entertainment centres. At this point guitarist Batti decided to depart the band and moved to Canada to pursue other interests.
Following the replacement of Batti with new guitarist Gregory Boulting, the band toured the east coast of Australia and recorded extensive demos of new material which were to form a new album but were not released before the band broke up.

Oh Well
Skulker Lyrics

I neevr should have got out of bed
Lately it just seems as though it's never, ever going to end
I never wanted you to feel that way
I always thought that you felt the same
Say it isn't so, say it's the end!
I don't eevr want to lose you as my best friend
So I put all my energy into loving you
& all I got back was lies
Oh things could've been much better
If only you had loved me like I love you
Tell me where to go
Tell me what I need to know
Keep you as my best friend
Oh don't say that it's the end
Oh... ooh you'll never know
You'll never see, you'll never know just what you did
No more tears for you, no more tears for you
I don't ever want to see you round here anymore
Oh you broke my heart
No more tears for you, no more tears for you
I don't ever want to see you round here anymore
I never liked you anyway, I never liked you anyway.
The song "Oh well" by Skulker revolves around the theme of unrequited love and how it can lead to heartache and pain. The singer is addressing someone they care about deeply, possibly a close friend, and telling them that they never wanted them to feel the way they are feeling at present. The first stanza talks about those days when everything seems to go wrong, and the singer wishes that they hadn't gotten out of bed that day. The second stanza is a plea to the person not to say that it's the end of their friendship, and the singer puts all their energy into loving the other person, but what they get back is nothing but lies.
Through the lyrics, the singer expresses their frustration and disappointment that things could have been different if only the other person had loved them back. They feel betrayed and hurt that they have been deceived by someone they trusted so much. The final stanza is a declaration that the singer is done with this relationship and won't allow themselves to be hurt anymore; they don't want to see the other person again. The song ends on an angry note, with the singer saying that they never liked the other person anyway.
Overall, the song "Oh well" is a poignant portrayal of the emotional turmoil that unrequited love can cause. It shows the depth of human emotions and how they can sometimes lead to actions that we might regret later.
