After releasing their first EP "Heavier Than Metal" including drummer Alison Thunderland, guitarist Sir Shred and bassist Casey Slade they signed up with with NoiseArt Records. They toured across Canada in support of it.
Their quest continued along with a short tour in 2011 opening for fellow heavy metallers Enforcer and Bullet. After the tour they began recording their debut album "Head Öf The Pack". Sadly enough, during the recordings drummer Alison and guitarist Shred left the band due to personal conflicts. Jackie and Casey continued writing the album together.
Eventually, their debut album "Head Öf The Pack" was released on august 26th, 2011. Jonny and Jake were recruited as drummer and guitarist and The Fist was back on full power. They toured Canada supporting their album.
Overseas in Europe, they opened up for Sabaton, PowerWolf and Grave Digger and continued supporting their album. They ended up in playing on several European festivals.
In the beginning of 2012, they did another European tour featuring Grand Magus, Bullet, Steel Wing and Vanderbuyst and kept on touring ever since.
January 10th, 2014 they released their second full album ''Chasing the Dream'' with NoiseArt records. After the release of their second album, these fools of the road have toured Europe, UK, Japan, South America, Mexico, and Canada many times over and now are touring across USA, January 2015.
Canadian heavy metal rockers Skull Fist, now consisting of frontman Zach Slaughter (also known as Zach Schottler), bassist Casey Slade and drummer JJ Tartaglia (Thunderor) have unleashed a video for their new single “Madman” from their latest studio album 'Paid In Full', which was released via Atomic Fire Records on April 22, 2022.

They have gone from basements to bars, bars to clubs, and clubs to concert halls solely because they just can't stop and won't stop rocking!

Heavier than Metal
Skull Fist Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Trying to be free again will take you to the other side
Power filled with vengance
Warriors on the rise
We are the leaders of a ship that's sailing free
Heavier than metal for me
When all is lost were still fighting to believe
Heavier than metal for me
A legion filled with metal dreams there only living to defend
Riding on the streets again I see you fighting by my side
The powers in our hands again this time were gonna make it right
The lyrics of Skull Fist's song "Heavier than Metal" convey a powerful and inspiring message of unity, strength, and perseverance. The song is essentially an anthem for metalheads, who are determined to fight against all odds to stay true to their passion and lifestyle. The opening lines, "Riding on the streets again you see the feeling in my eyes, Trying to be free again will take you to the other side," depict a sense of rebellion and freedom that is inherent in the metal culture. The singer, through his eyes, shows that he is all geared up to ride on the streets again and experience the feeling of freedom that comes with it. It's almost as if he's saying that metal music gives him the strength and inspiration to live and fight another day.
The next verse, "Power filled with vengeance, warriors on the rise, we are the leaders of a ship that's sailing free," describes the rise of metalheads as the leaders embracing their own power and strength. They are not afraid to fight for their cause and are ready to take on the world with their spirit of rebellion. The chorus, "Heavier than metal for me when all is lost, we're still fighting to believe, heavier than metal for me," emphasizes the power of metal music and its fans. The phrase "heavier than metal" represents the invincible spirit of the metalheads, who not only believe in their music but also derive a sense of strength and purpose from it. The final verse "Guided by a shooting star I follow to the very end. A legion filled with metal dreams they're only living to defend," evokes an image of a metallic army following a guiding light and fighting for their dreams and beliefs.
Overall, the lyrics of "Heavier than Metal" inspire the listener to keep on fighting, follow their dreams, and stay true to themselves.
