Skycycle released a self-produced demo tape named Siren in 1997. This successfully got them signed to MCA Records, leading up to the issuing of Skycycle's debut EP, "Breathing Water" one year later. Skycycle were dropped in 1999, before the release of their completed full length CD, "Ones and Zeros", which remains unreleased. Chris Cano replaced Rob Brown as drummer, because the latter pursued a career in jazz music. The band continued to play and write music for about a year before disbanding in September 2000. The band played one final time on October 22, 2002.
Skycycle is most known for is contributions to the Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island soundtrack. Two of the songs, "The Ghost Is Here" and "It's Terror Time Again" were performed and produced by Skycycle.

In a rounded hole
In a wall
In a wall at home
Suspended
It's a shrine
It's a holy place
Rolling down heaven's face
It's a girl
She can be, she can be
She can be, she can be
Anything
There's a light
The colors alternate
Always change
Never doomed to make
A shade twice
On the grass
Under the lemon tree
She the world
The world would wanna be
But it won't be
She can be, she can be
She can be, she can be
And there's no limitation
To what her imagination can make
She can be, she can be, she can be
Nanananaaaah... Nanananaaaah...
She can be, she can be
Nanananaaaah... Nanananaaaah...
She can be
Nananananaaaah... Nananananaaaah...
Nananananaaaah... Nananananaaaah...
Anything, anything, anything, anything
One to play out in the rain with
She could be -
Anything, anything, anything, anything
All the good times only better
She could be -
Anything, anything, anything, anything
She's my sita, and my radha
She could be -
Anything, anything, anything, anything
I don't need much to get me by
And she'd bring me
Anything, anything, anything, anything
The lyrics of Skycycle's song "Anything" describe a heart-shaped hole in the wall of the singer's home that is occupied by a girl who is capable of being anything she wants to be. She is portrayed as a shrine, a holy place, and an object of beauty that the world would want to emulate. The colors of the light that falls on her are constantly changing, never repeating themselves, and she is often found under a lemon tree on the grass, representing a tranquil and serene aura. Her imagination knows no bounds and there is no limitation to what she can make. In the eyes of the singer, she is everything he could ever want, and he does not need much as long as she is by his side.Chorus.
The song's lyrics are open to a variety of interpretations, given that they are quite abstract and metaphorical. However, one thing that is clear is that the song's protagonist is deeply in love with the girl in the heart-shaped hole, whom he sees as someone who is perfect in every way. Furthermore, the song celebrates the power of imagination, suggesting that we can be anything we want to be as long as we are willing to think outside the box.
