Dude I am just in love with all this footage of OB. Back when I was 21 I hitchhiked and train hopped my way around the country, and ended up kicking it in OB for a good while. Made a bunch of friends, went to bonfires on the beach, street performed on Newport, went cliff diving, got my heart broken, worked up the courage to play my first open mic at a bar there, went to some good vibe house parties, scavenged half-eaten burritos out of the trash and ate like a king, surfed my first wave at Blacks, slept on the roof of a convenience store but to me it was a palace, learned about the unconditional love that connects us all, didn't get stabbed by tweakers.... 12 years later I'm back in Texas for a while taking care of my mom. She has cancer and it has been incredibly difficult, but thanks for bringing me back to a magical time. one love, y'all ✌️
