Tiens v'là dix balles
Dans le fond d'une poche
C'est jour de chance
J'm'allume une clope
J'me vois déjà
Plier faloche
Avec mes potes
Dix balles, et ça m'démange
Tout l'quartier rit de mon addiction
Au bar-tabac
Je croise les falanges
Ce soir, je vais gagner
Le million, le million, le million
J'imagine l'ambiance à la maison
Le million, le million, le million
J'imagine la gueule de mon patron
Le million, le million, le million
La nuit, j'en rêve et pour de bon
Mon cœur s'emballe
J'ai fait bonne pioche
Dix fois la mise
J'rallume une clope
J'fais mes calculs
J'suis pas une cloche
J'ai le champagne
Mais pas le yacht
Cent balles
Mes chances augmentent
Et puis, faut dire
Que j'ai le bon piston
Selon les cartes de la voyante
Ce soir, je vais gagner
Le million, le million, le million
J'imagine l'ambiance à la maison
Le million, le million, le million
J'imagine la gueule de mon patron
Le million, le million, le million
La nuit, j'en rêve et pour de bon
J'ai plus une tune
Plus un kopec
Même pas un pote
Qui paye sa clope
J'vais pour partir
Quand y a un mec
Qui devant moi
Touche le jackpot
Le million, le million, le million
Eh t'as pas dit bye!
The song Le million by Slimane tells the story of someone who buys a lottery ticket with their last ten euros, hoping to win big and become a millionaire. At the beginning of the song, the singer finds himself with just ten euros in his pocket, and he decides to buy a lottery ticket, seeing it as a lucky day. He imagines himself traveling the world with his friends, buying expensive champagne, and owning a yacht. He becomes more excited as he wins more and more money.
As the song progresses, the singer becomes increasingly delusional with his dreams and fantasies of winning the lottery. He sees himself as smarter, more calculated, and just flat out luckier than anyone else in his town. Eventually, he finds himself out of money and is about to leave until someone in front of him hits the jackpot. The song ends with the singer's last line, "Eh t'as pas dit bye!" meaning "Hey, you didn't say goodbye!" as he regrets not being the lucky winner.
Slimane's Le million showcases the troubles and fantasies of wanting to be a millionaire, with its catchy tune and relatable lyrics. The song reflects the feelings of desperation and hope with the underlying risk factors of the gambling industry.
