Impressed at how inventive and detailed the drummer's style is, and how he uses the percussion to create more depth and space in the sound landscapes. I can hear a clear inspiration from Dale Crover from the Melvins and Adrienne Davies from Earth but with an obvious original style of his own - resulting in a very different atmosphere than in either of those 2 bands.

Would love to hear a proper studio re-recording of this. The original is cool, but Marty's vocals has become so much better. And you can't let Domkraft's cover be the version with most plays on Spotify. It's climbing steadily. đŸ€Ł

This was a great performance! I like how everyone is so stoked! I actually got like 5 stings of my Fender Prodigy into actual Slomatics tuning I think @doesitdoom gives a good lesson on it
It's not actually drop F# it's their own special tuning where the low 6th string is in F# and the 5th string is a full octave up also in F#

Isis used it too on Celestial - most notably on the un-fucking-believably heavy Collapse and Crush.

How do they get such a crushing sound with no bassist?? đŸ€Ż

astrozombie

both guitars( I THINK) are tuned to drop F#

Backslabbath665

@astrozombie Yep, that’ll do it

Bakerstreet Techno

They are also filling up the bass frequencies on records with synth they said in interviews. Other than that I think one actually hears the lack of a bassist pretty clear. Great tone, nevertheless.

Gary Montagano

F#, F#, B, E, G#, B

Louis Greene

Both guitarists are running there signals to a bass cab - the Ampeg.
