SlowMotionNoise officially began in 2005 after a renaming of Sean Sheridan's previous solo project Project Double Ess. In 2007, SMN turned into a full band, with Sean on vocals/synth, Matt Taylor and Jason Haist on guitar, and Dave Bembenek on bass.
During the first half of 2009, SlowMotionNoise saw the departure of Matt and Dave. Shortly after Dave's departure, in June of 2009, Kristin Cavarsan joined the band as the new bassist.
January of 2010 brought a new sound to SlowMotionNoise with the addition of second vocalist Dannie Wright.
In May 2011, original guitarist, Jason Haist, left the band to pursue his hip-hop career.
After months of inactivity and member departures, SlowMotionNoise announced their indefinite hiatus in July 2011. However, in late October Sean stated that he has plans to revive SlowMotionNoise in 2012 as his solo/side project, bringing it back to its original state, however, no new songs have been released since 2014.

My Favourite Memory
SlowMotionNoise Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Can I be your favourite memory? (memory)
And girl (and girl)
I love it when itβs just you, when it..s just you and me
So Iβm (so Iβm)
Writing this for you, so you can know what itβs like
Oh no (Oh no)
I think about you every night...
I still see you in my dreams
I still see you
I can feel you
I still see you in my dreams
I still see you
And I miss you
Youβre my favourite memory
All I know is
I still see you in my dreams
I still see you
I still see you
Worry (worry)
Donβt worry anymore, I am here for you
Always (always)
Please girl just relax, everything that I said was true
Believe (believe)
I would never lie, Iβm not like the others
Donβt cry (donβt cry)
Come on, all I need, is to see you smile
All I need is to see you smile...
I still see you in my dreams
I still see you
I can feel you
I still see you in my dreams
I still see you
And I miss you
Youβre my favourite memory
All I know is
I still see you in my dreams
I still see you
I still see you
I still see you in my dreams
Youβre my favourite memory
I still see you in my dreams
I still see you
I can feel you
I still see you in my dreams
I still see you
And I miss you
Youβre my favourite memory
All I know is
I still see you in my dreams
I still see you
I still see you
I can feel you
Donβt cry!
You are not alone!
Donβt cry!
You are not alone!
In SlowMotionNoise's song My Favourite Memory, the singer is expressing his desire to be remembered fondly by a girl who is special to him. He wants to occupy a significant place in the girl's memory and be the one who she thinks of when she looks back on her life. The singer also expresses his love for and desire to be with the girl, noting how much he enjoys it when they are alone together. He then reassures her that she does not have to worry anymore because he is there for her, asking her to believe that he will never lie to her unlike others. He tells her not to cry and asks her to relax, assuring her that everything he has said is true.
The lyrics of this song are both heartfelt and romantic. The desire to be remembered fondly by someone we care about is universal, and the singer expresses it with sincerity and vulnerability. The repeated refrain of "I still see you in my dreams" emphasizes the persistence and depth of his feelings for the girl, even though they may not be together in the present moment. The song is a love letter of sorts, expressing the singer's desire to be with the girl and his commitment to being there for her no matter what.
