Comprising Michael Flynn, Josh Kaler, Jonny Gray, and Scott Baumil, the band got its start with Flynn's writing and playing in a few bands in high school. At college he majored in English and after collegewent to Boston for music school. He won 2nd place in a John Lennon songwriting contest. Also in Boston, he met fellow bandmate Josh Kaler. They moved to Charleston, SC, where they met local Danny Cassady, who joined Slow Runner on bass. Dave Middleton soon joined in on guitar.
Their debut album "No Disassemble" was released in 2006.
