The band was formed in 1995 by Christian Neuburger (vocals, guitar), Matthias Neuburger (drums), Rainer Schaller (guitar) and Gerd Rosenacker (bass guitar). After they had recorded their first album, René Arbeithuber (keyboard, vocals) joined.
From 1997 to 1998 they lived and recorded in a castle near Ingolstadt with René and Rainer's band, 'Pelzig'.
In February 2005 they took part in the Bundesvision Song Contest, playing their song 'Why Pourqoui?' They received few votes and finished twelfth out of sixteen competitors.
Slut was asked to do the musical support for an adaption of "Die Dreigroschenoper" (The Threepenny Opera) by the theater of Ingolstadt. After several successful showings they decided to record the whole music, but due to copyright problems (the Weill-Foundation holds the rights until 2020) Slut could only release an EP with 5 songs on it, including the popular song "Die Moritat von Mackie Messer"(Mack the Knife).
So far Slut is yet to appear live in Britain or the USA, despite several extensive European tours to Romania, The Czech Republic, Italy and France.

3) A third band called Slut is actually an avant-garde collective of New York and Japanese musicians and improvisers, with a self-titled cd released in 1993 on God Mountain records. Musicians involve included Bradford Reed, Elliott Sharp, Zeena Parkins, Steve Ito, Acheilux, Marc Ribot, Jane Scarpntoni, Mark Anthony Thompson and Hoppy Kinayama. It's noteable for being one of the earliest cd's to feature the unusual acoustic sounds of Reed's invented pencillina instrument, and Acheilux's uniquely androgynous vocals.
Blow Up
Slut Lyrics

The morning light
Then give me pills
For one more try
'Cause we'll be over
We'll be over
And stop to breathe
Let's wait until
The city sleeps
We'll be over
When it's over
Blow up
I'll light the fuse
At ten to eight
Then count to three
Then run away
'Cause we'll be over
When it's over
Blow up
Please steal a car
And grab your coat
Then give me five
And hit the road
We'll be over
We'll be over
When it's over
Blow up
I'll kill the world
For you today
We'll place a bomb
Then drive away
The lyrics of "Blow Up" by Slut are about a couple planning to blow up something, probably with a bomb. The song's lyrics are quite cryptic and open to interpretation, but the underlying theme is that of a destructive relationship. The lines "Let's wait until the morning light, then give me pills for one more try" are a reference to the couple trying to stay awake all night, fueled by drugs, to carry out their plan.
The second verse contains the lines "Let's place the bomb and stop to breathe, let's wait until the city sleeps." This suggests that the couple is planning to destroy something in the city, and they want to make sure they are gone before anyone can catch them. The chorus of the song repeats the phrase "we'll be over when it's over, blow up" multiple times, signifying the end of the relationship or possibly a metaphor for the couple's explosive personalities.
Overall, the lyrics of "Blow Up" are dark and intense, with the theme of destroying everything around oneself. The song's lyrics are elliptical, leaving it up to the listener to figure out its meaning. However, it's clear that the song is about the culmination of a toxic relationship that can only end in destruction.
