The band was formed in 1995 by Christian Neuburger (vocals, guitar), Matthias Neuburger (drums), Rainer Schaller (guitar) and Gerd Rosenacker (bass guitar). After they had recorded their first album, René Arbeithuber (keyboard, vocals) joined.
From 1997 to 1998 they lived and recorded in a castle near Ingolstadt with René and Rainer's band, 'Pelzig'.
In February 2005 they took part in the Bundesvision Song Contest, playing their song 'Why Pourqoui?' They received few votes and finished twelfth out of sixteen competitors.
Slut was asked to do the musical support for an adaption of "Die Dreigroschenoper" (The Threepenny Opera) by the theater of Ingolstadt. After several successful showings they decided to record the whole music, but due to copyright problems (the Weill-Foundation holds the rights until 2020) Slut could only release an EP with 5 songs on it, including the popular song "Die Moritat von Mackie Messer"(Mack the Knife).
So far Slut is yet to appear live in Britain or the USA, despite several extensive European tours to Romania, The Czech Republic, Italy and France.
2) Second band called Slut was born in 1991. The band is from Prague (Czech Republic) and belongs to founders of Czech noise / hardcore.
Discography:
Sex Sucks (Scrape Sound, 1993)
Get Some Slut...Or Fuck Yourself (Scrape Sound, 1994)
Smell Me (PolyGram / Scrape Sound, 1996)
Luftganja (Indies Records, 1999)
Now they are preparing a new album.
3) A third band called Slut is actually an avant-garde collective of New York and Japanese musicians and improvisers, with a self-titled cd released in 1993 on God Mountain records. Musicians involve included Bradford Reed, Elliott Sharp, Zeena Parkins, Steve Ito, Acheilux, Marc Ribot, Jane Scarpntoni, Mark Anthony Thompson and Hoppy Kinayama. It's noteable for being one of the earliest cd's to feature the unusual acoustic sounds of Reed's invented pencillina instrument, and Acheilux's uniquely androgynous vocals.
Come On

Give answers to the questions we have asked
It's their common sense, their ignorance to guide us through the night
Whatever couldn't kill us makes us stronger, makes us last
We speak a different language and we stand on different feet
We're travelling with a different kind of speed
In this city in denial, in this country full of greed
Come on, please stay
Cause I'm a little bit paranoid now
I'm scared, I'm afraid once again
So come on and stay
Cause I'm a little bit paranoid now
I'm scared, I'm afraid once again
We have promised not to follow the blind masses and their hollows
While they're dancing around their kids, their cash, their cars
And we have promised to forsake us when this life is going to break us
We promised to stay hungry until we pass
Come on, please stay
Cause I'm a little bit paranoid now
I'm scared, I'm afraid once again
So come on and stay
Cause I'm a little bit paranoid now
I'm scared, I'm afraid once again
It's the darkness, it's the dawn that leads us to another day
The bitterness to guide us through the night
It's their common sense, their ignorance that opens up the way
As long as we're surrounded by the light
The song "Come On" by Slut speaks to the struggle of finding personal identity and meaning in a world that often values material wealth and conformity over individuality. The lyrics suggest a tension between the desire to stay true to oneself and the fear of being left alone or rejected by society. The singer acknowledges that they and their peers speak a different language, stand on different feet, and travel at a different speed than the masses who mindlessly pursue money, possessions, and status. However, they also admit that they have forgotten who they are and what they truly need, and that this forgetfulness makes them vulnerable to paranoia and fear.
In the chorus, the singer begs someone to stay with them, perhaps because they don't want to be alone in facing their fears and doubts. This plea could also be read as a metaphor for the human need for connection and community, especially in times of crisis or uncertainty. The repeated refrain "I'm a little bit paranoid now, I'm scared, I'm afraid once again" emphasizes both the singer's vulnerability and their determination to keep going despite their fears.
The final lines of the song suggest that darkness and bitterness can be transformed into something positive when they are faced with common sense and humility: "It's the darkness, it's the dawn that leads us to another day / The bitterness to guide us through the night / It's their common sense, their ignorance that opens up the way / As long as we're surrounded by the light." This seems to imply that, no matter how difficult or confusing life may seem, there is always the possibility for growth and healing as long as we stay connected to each other and to our own inner truth.
