The band was formed in 1995 by Christian Neuburger (vocals, guitar), Matthias Neuburger (drums), Rainer Schaller (guitar) and Gerd Rosenacker (bass guitar). After they had recorded their first album, René Arbeithuber (keyboard, vocals) joined.
From 1997 to 1998 they lived and recorded in a castle near Ingolstadt with René and Rainer's band, 'Pelzig'.
In February 2005 they took part in the Bundesvision Song Contest, playing their song 'Why Pourqoui?' They received few votes and finished twelfth out of sixteen competitors.
Slut was asked to do the musical support for an adaption of "Die Dreigroschenoper" (The Threepenny Opera) by the theater of Ingolstadt. After several successful showings they decided to record the whole music, but due to copyright problems (the Weill-Foundation holds the rights until 2020) Slut could only release an EP with 5 songs on it, including the popular song "Die Moritat von Mackie Messer"(Mack the Knife).
So far Slut is yet to appear live in Britain or the USA, despite several extensive European tours to Romania, The Czech Republic, Italy and France.
2) Second band called Slut was born in 1991. The band is from Prague (Czech Republic) and belongs to founders of Czech noise / hardcore.

3) A third band called Slut is actually an avant-garde collective of New York and Japanese musicians and improvisers, with a self-titled cd released in 1993 on God Mountain records. Musicians involve included Bradford Reed, Elliott Sharp, Zeena Parkins, Steve Ito, Acheilux, Marc Ribot, Jane Scarpntoni, Mark Anthony Thompson and Hoppy Kinayama. It's noteable for being one of the earliest cd's to feature the unusual acoustic sounds of Reed's invented pencillina instrument, and Acheilux's uniquely androgynous vocals.

Slut Lyrics

A long drink to wake up from a sleep
A night that was to waste
Just another aftertaste
Of anger and attention
But nothing else to mention
I'm aware of what you did to me
Just another frequency
Nothing else would break up
For a calling back from out of here
Just another souvenir
[Chorus]
It's no fake, it's no crime
Just a way to spend my time
It's the space in between
So evergreen
For the sake or a dime
Just a way to spend my time
It's the space in between
And she's the queen
So evergreen to me
Eternally suspicious
And all the favorite dishes
Quickly meaningless so good arranged
Just another thing to change
Cause anyone could take up
Nothing else would break up
For a calling back from out of here
Just another souvenir
[Chorus]
The lyrics of Slut's song Evergreen talks about how the singer is aware of what has been done to them, but they are trying to move on from it. The first verse talks about how the singer is trying to forget their anger while not wanting to mention anything that has happened. They’ve had a good night of luxury and are trying to forget what happened. The chorus indicates that the singer is not feeling guilty for what has happened, but instead, they are trying to spend their time in the best way possible. The space in between refers to the moment someone has moved on from a certain incident in their life, but they are not completely over it. Instead, the incident lingers on in the background. The queen, in this case, represents the authority figure that keeps the singer locked into the memory.
The second verse of the song talks about how the singer is always suspicious and expects the worst from everything. Their favorite things have lost their meaning, and they are trying to find new experiences to replace them. The chorus repeats the idea that the singer doesn’t feel guilty about moving forward.
Overall, the song speaks to a universal experience of moving on from a difficult situation while still feeling the after-effects of it. The singer is acknowledging that they’ve gone through a tough time but is trying to live their life as best as they can.
