Mi necesidad
Smitten Lyrics

Y tal vez no sea malo poderme equivocar
Tu necesidad
Y con mis puños secar esas lagrimas
Y pensar en que el sol brillara
The lyrics to Smitten's song Mi necesidad express the singer's desire to be with someone they are in love with, recognizing that their presence alone can bring comfort and alleviate their pain. The singer concedes that they may not be able to change the situation, but they want to believe in their lover's truth. The lyrics suggest that it would not be a bad thing for the singer to make mistakes and that they want to ignore their lover's needs, but they cannot because their life has changed as a result of their love. The singer sees their lover's crying as an opportunity to comfort them and to be there for them, even if it means that they have to stay in a dark dream for a while. The lyrics ultimately suggest that there is hope that the sun will shine again.
The lyrics to Mi necesidad are ambiguous and allow for multiple interpretations. On one hand, the song can be seen as a love song, expressing the pain and joy of being in love with someone. On the other hand, the song can be seen as a song about sacrifice, about giving up one's freedom for the sake of someone else's needs. The song's message is ultimately one of hope, suggesting that even in the midst of darkness, there is a possibility of finding light and joy.
