The song "My Mother" by Smitten is a heartfelt tribute to the singer's mother who has passed away. The opening lyrics "Ella partio de aki.. no volver jamas" (She left from here.. not to return) express the pain and sadness felt by the singer as his mother has passed away and he feels like he will never see her again. He sings about waiting and crying for her return, but he knows deep down that it will never happen.
The next line "Y no comprendo aun.. xq esto fue asi" (And I still don't understand.. why it happened like this) shows the confusion and lack of understanding felt by the singer at the sudden loss of his mother. He wonders why she couldn't enjoy more time with him and be a part of his life longer. The chorus repeats the sentiment that sometimes the things we love are taken away from us, and we may never know why. However, the singer takes solace in the fact that his mother is at peace and still with him in his memories and dreams.
Overall, the song is a powerful tribute to the love and bond between a mother and her child, and the pain felt at her loss. It also touches on themes of acceptance, destiny, and finding comfort in the memories of loved ones who have passed away.
