My beer
Smitten Lyrics

I know that's great
If I want to feel you because I miss you
You are my pray
You will never come back, 'cause you'll never go away
This is the way I do
Please me now or kill me right!
If I want to drink you that's 'close I need you
inside of me
If I want to think you because I feel good
Inside of me
You will never come back, 'cause you'll never go away
This is the way I do
Please me now or kill me right!
When you tried to say you tried to scape
Always in the way you do Kill me now, say good bye
If I want to feel you
That's close I need you
I like to drink my beer
The lyrics to Smitten's song "My beer" seem to convey a sense of dependency on someone, which the singer compares to their love for beer. The first two verses describe wanting to "see" and "feel" the person, and using them as a kind of emotional crutch. The third verse gets a bit more dramatic, with the repeated plea to either "please me now or kill me," suggesting that the singer feels trapped in this pattern of dependence.
The chorus, with its repeated line of "you will never come back, 'cause you'll never go away," could be interpreted in a few different ways. It could be read as resignation - the singer knows that this person will always be a part of their life, whether or not they want them to be. It could also be seen as a kind of threat - "you will never leave, so you might as well make me happy." Either way, the repetition gives the line a sense of finality and inevitability.
In the second half of the chorus, the focus shifts from the person to the beer, with the line "when you tried to say you tried to scape" (presumably meaning "escape") leading into the declaration that the singer likes to drink their beer. This seems to be a way of saying that, no matter how much they may need other people, they always have their beer to fall back on.
As a whole, the song portrays a mix of emotional neediness and stubborn independence, with the singer using beer as a kind of coping mechanism.
