Empiezo a olvidar
Me escribí, tu nombre en el sol
Pasa el tiempo
Y vuelvo a encontrar
Lo que importa no lo puedo perder
Son para mí
Tus ojos brillantes en la nocheSon para mí
Las luces que se mezclan con el humor mal
Y eso
Todo me hace tan bien
Como siempre
No vuelvo a perder
Caigo, espero, y me levanto otra vez
Caminando
Y sin prisa, mejor
Para poder ver los pasos que doy
Son para mí
Las olas que rompen en mi espalda
Son para mí
Los días de verano en cualquier dirección
Son para mí
Canciones, escenarios, los momentos
En que todo me hace
Todo me hace tan bien
Como todo
Empiezo a olvidar
Me escribí, tu nombre en el sol.
The lyrics of "Tan bien" by Smitten explore themes of nostalgia, self-reflection, and finding happiness in the present moment. The singer reflects on the passage of time and the act of forgetting, symbolized by writing a name in the sun. This action suggests a fleeting moment of connection or significance that is eventually lost or faded from memory. Despite this forgetting, the singer mentions a return to what truly matters, highlighting the importance of holding onto certain memories and experiences that bring joy and fulfillment.
The lyrics describe the presence of someone significant in the singer's life, possibly a lover or a close friend, whose eyes shine brightly in the night and whose presence brings lightness and humor into their world. The imagery of their eyes and the lights mixing with a sense of mischievousness or playfulness evokes a sense of shared moments of happiness and connection. These moments are contrasted with the passing of time and the potential for losing sight of what is truly important amidst the chaos and distractions of life.
The chorus emphasizes the positive impact this person or these moments have on the singer, noting that everything feels "so good" and that they are not going to lose sight of that feeling again. The lyrics touch on the cycle of falling, hoping, and rising once more, suggesting resilience and a determination to navigate life's challenges with grace and strength. The act of walking without haste but with purpose reflects a sense of mindfulness and intentionality in savoring each step and being present in the moment.
The mention of waves breaking on the singer's back, summer days in any direction, and the various elements of music, stages, and moments all being for them further reinforces the idea of finding joy and fulfillment in the simple pleasures and experiences that life has to offer. The repetition of "Todo me hace tan bien" (Everything makes me feel so good) throughout the song reinforces the theme of appreciating the small things and recognizing the sources of happiness and contentment in one's life. Overall, the lyrics of "Tan bien" speak to the importance of cherishing meaningful connections and moments of joy, even amidst the challenges and uncertainties of life.
