While touring in Ireland, the discovered the audience would cheer back "Who the Fuck is Alice?". As it turns out , this was a ritual at a Café in Nijmegen (the Netherlands) called "Gompie". The group decided to "cover" this version with comedian Roy Chubby Brown having the honor of yelling "Alice, Who the Fuck is Alice?" during the chorus. Thus, Smokie holds the record as the first group to have a top ten song with the word "fuck" in it.

It looks like they re-reformed as a five-piece-band after recording this one and maybe after recording the "All Fired Up" album (recorded in 1987, released on October 15th, 1987), as well known is that Steve Pinnell played all 1987/88 gigs on acoustic drums while this LP features e-drums, what looks like there were no drummers around.at the time they recoded this one.
Btw, Martin Bullard wasn't on board yet, he came in during 1988😉
