Let's Find An Out
Snail Mail Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

‪June's glowing red
Oh strawberry moon
You're always coming back a
Little older but it looks alright on you

Let's find an out
We'll start anew
And with the headlights in your eyes
I see it all over you

Burn out when you want
Something that's lost belongs to you

Someone should pay for it
Well I don't know who

I remember Snail Mail saying in an interview that she wrote this song on the spot. I just find it amazing that something so impactful (to me at least) was written so quickly. I don't know what the lyrics mean (I'm pretty sure they don't mean anything) but the song is evocative nonetheless and certain lines jump out at me like "someone should pay for it, well I don't know who."

Gives me the vibe of someone whose been hurt with no one to heal them. Just a vulnerable, beautiful little song by Snail Mail.

I mean the girl started playing guitar and getting into music since she was like 7 or something, she is a musical prodigy

@daddy8518

It definitely has meaning lol ❤

@calebknott8021

She has such a harmonically sophisticated ear for someone so young. It's so beautiful.

@lequinntessential

Undeniably the best track off the album. Those guitar riffs are like cathartic beams of healing energy coursing through your ear drums, and they change up their routine throughout the song, which was kept short at 2 minutes plus, so that the song doesn't sound like a flat, mundane drab. Efficient.

@davlor86

Lindsey’s voice is impeccable here ❤️ amazing guitar too
