To think this album is almost closer to Sonic 3's release then it is today, well it makes me feel old.

You weren't right then.
But you are now. Fuck. I'm old.
TheKalZul
This just made me turn into oil.

No matter how many times I hear this remixed or covered by another artist, non of them have managed to really grip my ears like 1:35 - 1:55. Easily my favorite part. If only I could add it to my Spotify playlist 😓

3:54 - I love this part, and this fantastic melody actually appears in the original, but is unfortunately drowned out by another channel and is hard to make out - probably the only flaw in the original tune - so glad SnappleMan paid homage to it.
Jacob D’Tulio
That’s my favourite part too
Cracked Cripple
I thought it was a what I’m made of reference

Almost 14 years later, and this album still reigns supreme among all Sonic 3&K remixes.
Even now, I still wonder if there was anything worthwhile that was achieved in this decade compared to all the decades before it, or if it was worth all that was lost in the process... for even now, as we move onto the next decade, I still struggle to come up with an answer for these.

You don't play Sonic games for the gameplay. You play Sonic games for the butt rockin' soundtracks, as they are frequently the only good thing about the game. Shadow the Hedgehog? Virtually unplayable, full of great songs. Sonic 06? Sent to market unfinished but with one of the most beautiful OSTs out there. Black Knight and Secret Rings are names 99% of people don't remember, but Seven Rings in Hand and Knight of the Wind still blow it out of the water every time. If the gameplay could even come close to the quality of their soundtracks, Sonic as a series would be a household name instead of the joke that it is.

Man, I sure wish I could play Rise Of Lyric for its soundtrack...
...If it ever existed.
