After 10 years, I am ready to tell my Lingus story. It was a normal day. I was in my car on my way to work. A friend posted it in a Gmail group (still a thing back there) with a caption: I don't know will you like it, I do. And then those first couple of notes. And then Larnell. And then the first break. I stopped the car because I wasn't in the condition to drive any more. Sat in my car, on a side of the road, in a city center, in my suit and tie, listening this masterpiece to the max with tears running down my face. I still remember the look on a random guy's face when he saw me, must had so much questions. I always had a very emotional reaction to music, but this one just murders me every f..n time. I heard them live couple of years ago, and I though I closed the circle. But now I realize that this is probably the most important song in my life. Love you guys, you made my life more beautiful.

I genuinely couldn't count how man times I have revisited this video. Hundreds by now. Always better than listening to the recording. What amazes me is seeing how Cory starts with the chording solo, and you can literally see he mentally just flew to another planet. Lots of musicians do this, you can tell that they are experiencing the music on another level and just feeling where they need to go, but it's just amazing to see someone go through that and produce something so out of this world. A solo of the century.

To say Cory Henry is on fire here is a massive understatement, to say Larnell is killing it is the same. The whole band is at the top of their creative brilliance, all the solos are amazing, the mix is gorgeous, the tightness of the rhythm section is astonishing.

I cry pretty much every time I hear this, and I hear it a lot. Cory's solo is just absolutely breathtaking, like literally breathtaking. Watching this again (for the God knows how many hundred times...) I really want to say...look at the faces, body language, and Groove everyone has!!! It is not just Sonic Bliss...It is seeing the joy of humanity being in love with life, music, and each other!!! It is, again, a beautiful sight and sound that brings happy tears to my eyes!!!!

This could well be the single best free form piano solo of all time. Sonically, chordally, harmonically...the entire thing is perfection. I've played drums my entire life and I've had the pleasure of playing with several world class piano players...there is nothing that I have ever heard that compares to this. It is just perfection.

My highschool band is doing this song and it sounds almost spot on. It takes a lot of time to learn an eleven minute long song especially when you're all teenagers and have the attention span of a gnat. It takes a considerable amount of dedication and passion for music to learn let alone write something like this.
