The complex roots and tendrils of plants have wrapped around long-forgotten corridors, discouraging anyone from exploring what lies ahead. The singer is advised to memorize his turns, as light is the only hope to get out of the labyrinth alive. As he moves ahead, he spies and is being spied through the darkness by unresting eyes. These creatures are lurking in the dark, waiting for the light to fade to attack.
As he approaches the center of the underground-lake, he finds a mirror coated in thick grimes. The singer unveils the myth of time as he crosses the narrow bridge leading to an isle. The sea engulfs and extinguishes the light as he crosses. The singer is blinded by his curiosity, and he heads for the isle, but his efforts are in vain. He's surrounded by the hands of endless night but realizes that none of the creatures lurking in the dark has attacked him. He's left alone and helpless at the mercy of the fading of light.
