Wicked Sick! I'd play this in a live set anytime it's simply sublime love the build ups and the drops he keeps it simple in this one and let's most of the Melody do the work not so many bells and whistles like he wanted to get back to basics on this tune still a sick track love the beats
Michael Charles
Some sick bass in this, good flow of transitioning sounds

2021 and this is a freaking banging track still!

Oh boys you're so corrupted by the bigroom shit of today you can't even comprehend the beauty of this pure tech trance tune. This is the original O'Callaghan sound.

I was about to enquire as to what makes this a good, or even, rather, an acceptable track. I saw your comment stating that it is tech trance, a genre I'm not at all familiar with, though I have loved trance on and off for around two decades.
Still, though, there's not much melody to it, and while it has a driving beat and decent bass, it doesn't really go anywhere. I have, across lengthy periods in the past, exclusively, excessively, solely listened to Berlin-style techno, often verging on industrial techno, all day long while out on Amazon delivery rounds, so I'm no stranger to repetitive, driving, and often brutal tracks. I gained a sense of open-mindedness from said tunes.
This track, however, doesn't satisfy anything for me in the slightest. Tell me why it should.

+Spencer Morgan Couldn't agree more. It reminds me of discussion under track Always Different by Gary Maguire & Stereo Wildlife here on youtube. Heard this one life and in Krarney's set, what a fit, such great underrated tunes.
Scott Mayfield
Spencer Morgan I agree that it doesn't have all the bells and whistles that many other tunes in this genre have, but I think I like this tune so much (in mix) because of all the secondary effects you can apply to it live and in the studio. it's like a breeding ground for amazing alterations and live effects, and its minimalism particularly lends itself to easier manipulation and re-creation. Just my two cents :)

Spencer Morgan HolaFran Agree totally guys

Someone gets it lol. All these people saying they're disappointed in JOC and saying this is his worst...do they not know what a filler track is?? This tracks sole purpose of existence is to be complemented with more sophisticated songs during a set. This song helps tell a story in a set and obviously it's supposed to be geared more towards the climax of it (or pick up the energy). Past and "golden" trance days had tons of this shit.
Also, I bet if you saw this song live this would absolutely destroy the dance floor if properly introduced before hand which I'm sure JOC could handle. Not every track is supposed to packed full of complicated melodies and progressions. If you give the brain time to soak in the previous songs progression and melody and play a filler track, it will have more impact due to its simplicity and will cause even greater impact on the song after it due to the listener wanting something more complicated.
Like you said, a pure tech trance tune and I think its brilliant but a bit dull in terms of arrangement.

The start of this tune is just an awesome pick,, a kick starter
